    I wouldnt buy a Model 3 again

Bingo - I've owned my M3 since June of 2018, and I'm a little tired of the "automatic" wipers not working consistently.

    Unbiased 2-month review of 2022 Model Y

I bailed mid-2020. I took a healthy profit, but his take on the COVID-19 epidemic was just stupid and he was starting to wander into more of those blunders than I wanted to follow. Remember the pedo guy comments about the guy who helped organize the Thai Soccer Team rescue? I wish he'd just...

    No success. Super annoying.

Tesla Is Finally Updating Its Autopark Feature by The End of This Month

Both are completely unusable to me - Summon won't go into my garage, even with systems set for 'tight' and autopark is so slow, and it turns the wheel with the car stopped, which drives me nuts.

    Cannot Read Release Notes

I have the exact same issue in a 2018 M3. I haven’t been able to see release notes for some time, maybe 3-6 months? Browser works fine.

    Floor Jack

Which one did you go with?

    Floor Jack

Can you fit that with jack pucks under the car? I measured with my pucks, and the clearance is a scarce 4”.

Homelink Garage Door Button Locations - Left vs Right

Genius - after searching to try to solve this problem easily I found your post and fixed it. I’d tried once before and gave up thinking they were alphabetical. Turns out, they’re not. Thanks!

what is the best wired/wireless controller for model 3

I use the Logitech Gamepad F310. It's been pretty good.

V11- Backing out of garage with homelink

This is one improvement I actually like.... it's totally reachable now without bending like gumby to reach across the car to close the garage.
  12. E

    Poll on V11 interface

If you live in the great white north, those seat heaters are the most important buttons in the whole car. However, I'll play with the 'Auto' setting some more to see if that's enough.

winter is coming..how do you prepare your tesla for winter beside winter tire swtich?

Here's my checklist: Swap the tires (I do it myself in the first week of Nov) Apply Gummi Pfledge Stift Put my ice scrapper brush in the back seat Disable auto mirror folding Chill Drive Mode
  14. E

when is good time to swap to all season tire from winter tire ?

I'm going to nerd out for a second. winter tires are recommended when the temp is below 8C. So, you want to wait till the average temperature is about 8 or more before switching. If you dig into the normal climate temperatures for your location, you can find the optimal time (historically) to...

Early M3 buyer - FSD vs enhanced autopilot

I considered upgrading from EAP to FSD, only for the computer. but it's a Gen1 computer, so maybe I'll wait until they're at GEN2 or 3?

Default home screen rear camera instead of navigation screen.

I'd actually like it to display the interior camera, so I can check on my kids in the backseat without turning 180 in the drivers seat....

Best wireless game controller for Tesla games

I used the logitech F310. It's wired, but at $30, you can't go wrong.

    Supercharger - London, ON

I’d be shocked if they were online Sunday, given the rain yesterday. as of now, it’s not showing up on the car map

    Supercharger - London, ON

9/12 this afternoon when I dropped by, but it was a middle of a monsoon, so they weren’t working. I checked to see if power was on, it wasn’t.

Are they online? I’m debating bringing the car or the ICE SUV this weekend.

    Wiper blade replacement in Canada

It's possible I got a newer model? Who knows. Nice to know there are options! BTW - thanks for your original post, that saved me a whole pile of trouble. I literally had it open as I was standing in the PartSource aisle.

    Wiper Blades for M3?

Damn! I did search, but I couldn't find anything.... maybe it was my search string? I looked for " wiper blades m3" in the Canada forum. Thanks!

    Wiper Blades for M3?

I'm struggling to find wiper blades, available in the Great White North, that will work in the M3 and not interfere with the spray module. Do we buy them at the SC or is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

    Supercharger - London, ON

Too bad - heading to London this weekend. they opened North Bay 2 months after I was there, so based on that, the London chargers should be open mid-Feb.

    More power coming through OTA!!

What's the new update firmware version? I'm on 2019.32.12.2 currently -- looks like 12.3 and 12.4 are out there, but fewer than 0.3% of cars have them. (STATS App)

    Supercharger - London, ON

Actually the arena is still there at the far end of that plaza. It’s now used as the Forest City Velodrome.
  32. E

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

Happened to get a hotel room overlooking the work. It’s too early to see workers, but still no change.
  33. E

    The new interior liners installed.

Yeah - I don't love them. My old VW had 'Monster Mats' that were really thick solid rubber grooves. They were awesome for slushy Toronto winters.

    Regen dots at <90% SOC

I charged to about 95% for a road trip and had almost no regen when I pulled out of the driveway. The car was showing me at 492km Range and 28C. I had my wife take a picture, but it's such a potato picture, I can't even share it.
  35. E

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

    thanks for the update!
  36. E

    SuperCharger - North Bay, ON

How's the progress coming!? I've got a work trip coming up this fall, and if the SC is there, I get to take the M3, if not, I'll probably play it safe and take the ICE.

Autopilot upgrade after delivery, how much are they now?

More likely an end of Quarter sale.

    Replika R187 wheels causing issues..

I just put them on my M3 and they work fine. Two small points -- ask the guys at the shop to pop out the centre cap before installing so that you can pop in a Tesla one. They're impossible to get out. The balled up roll of tape doesn't work. I had to pull all the wheels off and pop them out from...

    Seamless NoA on Autopilot

Good thing this thread is here. I was the asshole on the 403 yesterday with the blinker on and the car not changing lanes, and swearing at NOA. I'll give it another shot today and try nudging the steering wheel. :) Thanks all!

    Canadian Stores and Service Centers

Electrik is reporting “Several members of the Calgary service team were terminated following an investigation into an employee complaint which confirmed repeated inappropriate exchanges between colleagues. This is in violation of our workplace policies and behavior we will not tolerate at Tesla.”

    Got 2019.8.5 tonight

I just tested the NOA (Auto lane change) in Toronto traffic and it failed the first lane change. Couldn't find a spot. I think it will probably be ok in light traffic, but in moderate to heavy traffic it's just not going to 'find space' the same way a human driver is able to at this point.

When I complete my taxes, I get a refund within 10 business days. Significantly more complicated, I'd argue?

    Model 3 Software Update 46.2

I had the same issue last week. It’s likely your SCCM that has failed. (Steering Column control module) It’s a known issue but limited to a small range of cars with that series of sCCM according to my SC.

    Autopilot getting worse?

Interesting -- I was thinking about this today -- I've found that follow distance has increased substantially. Even on 2, at highway speeds, spacing is wide enough you could park a semi trailer in between me and the car in front. in situations where traffic is busier, I'm finding myself turning...

    Model 3 Software Update 46.2

New Issue on 46.2. After the update I drove the car to work uneventfully, on the way home yesterday afternoon I got three messages: Traction Control Failure Automatic Emergency Braking Failure Regenerative Braking Failure. I drove it for about 20 minutes and after chatting with service, I...
