    Owners Manual Not Showing

Here's a pic. Owner's Manual tab is blank (spinner for a while and then blank as though it is timing out issue). Release Notes tab does work.

    Owners Manual Not Showing

At least on my car, the manual app did work, I've opened it and used it several times in the past. This is new that it open to a blank screen in the app on the car.

    Owners Manual Not Showing

I have the same issue 2018 M3 on 2024.8.9. Pedal/Buttons reboot did not fix this. I've also tried this on WIFI and LTE, same issue. I put in a service request to Tesla and they want to do a remote diagnostic test (for $100) to see if they can find the issue. I think I'll just wait and see if...

    Model 3 Highland Steering Issues

I find that interesting that you find swipe to drive much faster. I've test driven a Model 3 Highland twice now and swipe to drive is my number 1 disappointment. I find it to be much slower than the usual stalks.

Update Vehicle Software to Incorporate Additional Autosteer... message

For our 2018 M3 we received our first "12v battery must be replaced soon - schedule service". We went ahead and scheduled this for tomorrow AM - and I've seen a message on the main screen that says we won't receive software updates until that is completed (which makes sense). As part of this...

    How many PCS have failed?

It charged for 1.5 hours and added 47 miles, so I consider this a success. Last weekend I did 4 supercharger stops and they all charged just fine and over 32 amps. I guess it is possible the part broke the same day as the new HPWC was installed. I'll need to try a supercharger this weekend to...

    How many PCS have failed?

Your page on that was super helpful, thank you for that! They did deny my request to cover it under the battery warranty even after submitting an image of someone having it covered. Personally I've been very happy with EAP. I did a 3 hour trip each way last weekend completely on EAP. The only...

    How many PCS have failed?

I didn't see a way to set this within the HPWC web interface. It just has the circuit breaker setting, which I'm leery of messing with. From the main screen though I see where I can limit it to 32a and it seems to be charging with no alerts! Thanks for the suggestion, 1hr and 20 min to go, let's...

    How many PCS have failed?

Unfortunately I am in the club now. :( Has anyone had a similar experience to me? I can charge from the mobile charger fine. I can charge from Superchargers fine, but not my HPWC. I just had a HPWC installed, set for 40 amps. It goes up to 32 amps, charges for less than 5 minutes, then quits...

I counted 19 stalls plus 2 wall chargers. This has been here for quite a while, but it is not active yet. This is near the Embassy Suites with a view of the bay.

Any cons at all today when upgrading from HW2.5 to HW3.0?

Also, are you still overall glad that you did the update to HW3.0 - or would you have not done it given then chance to decide again?

Any cons at all today when upgrading from HW2.5 to HW3.0?

Any cons at all today when upgrading from HW2.5 to HW3.0? I seem to remember when they first started offering it, some folks were unhappy with the forced change to using Tesla Vision and deprecating the radar. Is there anyone that has made this upgrade and been unhappy with it for any reason...

Model Y roof rack - replacement end caps

The ones I bought were from this seller: https://www.ebay.com/str/uccgg From my experience, we've only had them pop off when a loaded cargo box is on the roof. As a precaution, I wrapped black electric tape around my on the sides closest to the center of the roof. You can't even tell unless...

Aftermarket blind spot warning / monitoring / detection for side mirrors

I've seen this, and tried this, yet I still want the little yellow indicator :) For all the different mods people have done on Teslas, I'm surprised I haven't run into anyone that has done this. Maybe I'll need to be the first :)

Aftermarket blind spot warning / monitoring / detection for side mirrors

Thanks JJR, you said it. I want the specific solution of an indicator in the mirror. Lencap, yes I'm have the blind spot cameras turned on for the main display and I am also aware of the wide angle after market mirrors, but I still want an indicator in the mirror. Watts_up, I am also familiar...

Aftermarket blind spot warning / monitoring / detection for side mirrors

I am one of those people that would prefer blind spot warnings in the side mirrors that most other modern cars have. Yes, I've already adjusted my mirrors as optimally as I can. Has anyone out there tried something like this...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Here is Elon's comment again: Arguably, v11.4 should be v12.0, as there are so many major improvements. v12 is reserved for when FSD is end-to-end AI, from images in to steering, brakes & acceleration out. Yann Le Cun, chief AI scientist at Facebook though has said the following: As I have...

PG&E NEM 2.0 - any issues with being able to keep NEM 2.0 if switching contractors?

I should have mentioned that I am keeping the specs and panels exactly the same. Also, I am totally fine with compensating Contractor A with getting me in under NEM 2.0 in time. I'm fairly certain nothing has begin with permitting yet from Contractor A. I'm hoping someone on here has gone...

PG&E NEM 2.0 - any issues with being able to keep NEM 2.0 if switching contractors?

Does anyone here have experience with being approved for NEM 2.0 and then switching contractors before the project starts? NEM 2.0 application originally went in under Contractor A. I am considering switching to Contractor B, but do NOT want to lose NEM 2.0. Contractor B obviously wants the...

Finally going solar. I have a question about Enphase microinverters and Powerwall compatibility

So my current plans are to install 405 watt panels and no batteries at this time. I plan to install either a Tesla power wall or Enhphase batteries in the future. The 2 micro-inverts that installers have suggested are the iQ8M and the iQ8+. Another user on this thread also suggested that I look...

Finally going solar. I have a question about Enphase microinverters and Powerwall compatibility

This is what I see online about the difference: Compared to the Enphase IQ7, the IQ8 enables your solar system to generate power during an outage (kit required). Furthermore, if you are adding an Enphase battery now or in the future, you may want to consider the IQ8 series because they offer...

Finally going solar. I have a question about Enphase microinverters and Powerwall compatibility

Vines, Below are the specs of the 2 I was recommended, plus the one you mentioned. I called Enphase and they think the 8A is overkill for my panels, not wrong, just overkill. They say in the Bay Area and the panel specs of what was proposed to me, most installers use the 8M or the 8+. Enphase...

Finally going solar. I have a question about Enphase microinverters and Powerwall compatibility

In reference to the recommendation to NOT use an IQ8M another vendor has suggested an IQ8+. IQM has these specs: Peak output power: 330 VA Input power: 260 - 460 W Maximum continuous output power: 325 VA IQ8+ has these specs: Peak output power: 300 VA Input power: 235 - 440 W Maximum...

Finally going solar. I have a question about Enphase microinverters and Powerwall compatibility

It is my understanding that the car manufacturer still needs to support bi-directional charging as well. Therefore if your car is a Tesla, you still need to wait for this to work, correct (even if you had a Clipper charger)?

Finally going solar. I have a question about Enphase microinverters and Powerwall compatibility

Thanks for the insight. I am working with an installer to get the system in along with my HPWC. It will probably be a month or so before they get to the permit step, I figured I would just ask here about the app in the meantime. Originally I was set on getting Powerwalls, but after seeing the...

Finally going solar. I have a question about Enphase microinverters and Powerwall compatibility

I pulled the trigger on solar, and barely got into CA NEM 2.0. The proposal I was given consists of the following: Panels: Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G10+ 405 (17x) MicroInverters: IQ8M-72-2-US [240V] (17x) From looking in the Apple app store, there is an app called "Enphase Enlighten". Is that the...

James Douma on the Economics of a Future Tesla Robotaxi

As much as I think the concept of a robotaxi sounds great, I think there are many areas where it will never work. San Francisco being one example. I'm sure as soon as someone sees a Tesla driving around with nobody in it - it will be a very short period of time before it gets vandalized. Mirrors...

CarPlay solution for Tesla by Michal Gapinski using Raspberry Pi with Android

It is interesting there are so few reviews on Amazon for theT2C product, only 3 at this time. You would think as much as you hear from people clamoring for Apple CarPlay in a Tesla, that there would be quite a few more reviews - especially since it is only $99 at this time. All I can think of is...

Driver Profiles and folding down rear seats - SEXY buttons maybe?

For us, the passenger seat is almost always forward enough to not be an issue. Also, for comparison, our other car that is much older and smaller and has the drivers seat very far back - does not have this issue.

Driver Profiles and folding down rear seats - SEXY buttons maybe?

I have a typical car loading scenario that I'm looking to find a solution for. This involves loading a bike through the trunk with the seats down. Here is what I usually go through. Walk up to car and open driver's side door If profile was set to my wife's profile, it switches to mine. She...

    Window Control Failed

My theory is that it could be related to this new recall notice where windows might not stop rolling up when obstructed: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2022/RCAK-22V702-7969.pdf Maybe the quick fix from Tesla was to disable venting until a more permanent fix can be pushed out?

HW3.0 upgrade for basic AP owners now free?

Maybe the charge/no charge is location dependent. The thought being that in areas where Tesla wants more FSD activity they decide to not charge for the upgrade.

HW3.0 upgrade for basic AP owners now free?

HW3.0 upgrade for basic AP owners now free?

Tried and failed. They would only do it for the 1K charge. Has anyone with EA been able to do this successfully without the charge?
  42. jrmnet

HW3.0 upgrade for basic AP owners now free?

I have Enhanced Autopilot, the local service center will only do the change with the 1K charge. Fred, do you have just regular Autopilot or Enhanced Autopilot?

Model 3 Windshield Replacement - Extra $600 charge to recalibrate?

Now that I have the car back with the glass replaced, I tried autopilot and the car seemed to hug the right side of the lane. It did it to the point where I was not comfortable using it (this was within the first 25 miles of getting it back). The next time I tried it (now with about 50 miles on...
