Yes. Open a request with mobile service and ask them to check that the headlight controllers took/didn't take the latest software. That was exactly my issue. A re-push of the software and install fixed it.

I just had the same thing happen to me! I had my car in for MCU2 upgrade and they said I could upgrade to the latest firmware available (2021.4.10.1) and I went out to check on it and the left headlight was on. Left blinker also doesn't work.

Slow start, slow response. Now with replacement eMMC it's SUPER fast. Nearly instant response, maps build out quickly, switching between icons also nearly instant. Very glad I was able to get this done.

Just got my Model S back from Tesla Repair (got sideswiped by a 'vette, :( ) They did the eMMC replacement and WOW my touchscreen is so much more responsive now. It's hard to believe it's an MCU1.

Update: Insurance company is going to cover the repair so I will pay my deductible (collision, as many of you stated correctly). The sad part is Tesla called me and said they were delivered a 90Kwh battery and not a 75Kwh battery...So another two weeks minimum of waiting... :-(

You are absolutely right. At this point, pending the adjustor's estimate, it's either going to cost me $500 (collision) or $250 (comprehensive) for a brand new (refurbed) battery.

I asked Tesla bout it being the towing service Roadside Assistance called out. They just shrugged it off. I think the circular marks you refer to are just dried water and grime from the road. Could be wrong though.
