FS: TSportline TST 20” space gray wheels and Continental tires and TPMS

Washington DC area: I’m selling my set of Tsportline space gray TST 20” wheels and Continental ExtremeContact DSW06 tires. TPMS included. These are the staggered setup, so they are 20x9” in the front, and 20x10” in the rear. These are off my 2018 Model S. I sold the car and put the stock wheels...

    Wheels Wheels Wheels...

I got the 21" twin turbines with the car (which are being put back on today as my summer set.) If I had to do it over again, I would just order the 19"s and buy the 21" after market look-a-likes.

How do I find if I have staggered wheels?

Scroll up and read post #6 Ande said: Because Tesla do not usually sell staggered setup.. ? I said: The 21” wheel setup Telsa offers are staggered. Heres a link to Tesla's web site, www.tesla.com, you can go check it yourself, the 21s they sell are all staggered. That's what I'm standing by.

I stand by my response to that person. Hank are your 21s staggered or square?

How do I do that? (The places are on the DC beltway, so zillions if Teslas must pass by every day)

Car flex and losing a roof rack with bikes?

I feel bad for the OP. This is scary on six different dimensions. The rust has me REALLY scared. My threads seem clean. Is filling up the threads with grease the correct preventative measure?

    Model S windshield wiper upgrade!

If you mean Autowipers, I turned that off and just use the intermittent settings. The autowipers are too aggressive for me.

    Model S windshield wiper upgrade!

Yes these are the exact ones I bought. Im also using rainx washer fluid additive. Drove 400 miles to SC all in rain last weekend and the wipers were great.

    Supercharger - Rocky Mount, NC

No issues today. Nice weather, clean restrooms. We took a lap around the hotel so the kids could get some energy out. The hotel has sundries for sale.

Great stop. Holiday Inn Express had coffee and clean rest rooms. We were alone both going and coming through this supercharger.

What is there for a rest room here? Do you have to go into the Mad Boar or the hotel? Do they care?

Mine does it when going under a sign or overpass on the highway. On my commute home Ive found the spots that trip it up.

    Auto present door handles

Count me on the list of people who have had an issue. Mobile service came out yesterday and replaced my drivers door handle which stopped presenting. Three months ago they came out because it stopped opening the door, but that just required recalibration to fix.

SPINOFF: Did you test drive a Tesla before buying yours?

No. I ordered without test driving. The night I placed the order I got a call from the local service center who invited me to come and test drive a few days later. It reinforced my decision.

Appologies, I bought the PIAA, not the Bosch. (Model numbers in the attached)

The Bosch Icon aftermarkets that folks here recommended fixed the chattering issues I posed above. Totally worth replacing the stock wipers.

    Michelin vs Goodyear

I had to replace 3 run-flats over the first two winters I had them, on my prior car. I swapped them out for non-run flats and would never go back. They seemed much more succeptible to damage.

    Michelin vs Goodyear

I had the Goodyear Eagle F1s some years ago, though I don’t think they were asymmetric, and I was disappointed in how loud they were. I never bought Goodyear again. For years following that I only bought Michelins; they’re a known quantity and always good. Then for the last 4 sets of tires we’ve...

No rinse wash versus hose and bucket

This is how I do it, but with a twist. I bought a gallon garden sprayer. I fill that thing with some Optima No Rinse and water, and spray each panel before i clean it. Seems to gets off the heavy dirt that would be captured in the cloth. Also, one swipe per clean square of towel, then turn it...

TRIP REPORT – Northern VA to Wilmington NC ~380 Miles

Great post. The problem is, in the winter, N. Virginia to Rocky Mount is too far, but N. Virginia to Glen Allen is too short... If there was a stop between GA and RM, I could stop there and then make it to Wallace, on my way to N. Myrtle Beach. As it stands I need to stop three times.

NY winter / average range in Model S

Not answering your direct question but, the average for my 12 mile commute has been consistently 435wh/mi for the past two months. (Car does better on highway trips once the battery is warmed up.) I was getting 320 in September. That aligns with the reduction in range you're seeing.

Thinking about going to the Outer Banks, how do I find a rental property with a charger?

Not sure the direction you're coming from, but the Norfolk supercharger is 80 miles from Duck. If we assume 3 mph on a 120v wall plug, as long as you keep the car plugged in while at the rental house, I think you’d be fine. ~24 hours of charge is going to give you enough range. Ive done a lot of...

    Does smart preconditioning work?

It never worked for me. One Sunday at two in the afternoon, my wife came in from the garage and said, your car is...running. I went out to the garage and sure enough, the heater was on and it was warm in the car. My commute is 7 and 430 on weekdays. After that happened a second time I turned...

    21's or 22's on my 2018 Model S 75D?

These look like the TST 20s. I put the same ones on my car, for winter. I use the twin turbine 21s in the summer.

Whispbars, what is the largest possible cargo carrier?

I’m not direcrly answering your question, but michael subasic has a video on this. He indicates somewhere between 5-15% reduction in range. ...Im doing the same research myself to see which box I should buy.

    Anyone renting on Turo?

How do taxes play in here? Presumably you have to pay income tax on the rental money you receive. Can you deduct the depreciation? Thinking about the tax bracket most of us here would be in, a lot of that income is going to taxes.

I’ve had three ranger services in the three months I’ve had the car; all great experiences. This is an area that differentiates Tesla. Model S windshield wiper upgrade!

Good wipers are a big deal for me, and my model S' wipers are a huge disappointment, though it seems like not everyone has the same issues I do.
