Yup... charging now. It's live! Sheetz isn't open yet but the lot for the SC is open.

I've yet to see any Tesla's charging here, but I'm not complaining....better to have it than not. Still waiting on Danville. Come on Tesla! Anyone able to find anything? Permits, etc?

So who's going to be the one to find the permit ticket for one in Danville? Wishful thinking on my part perhaps?

Haha so true... That Grove City location is really sketchy. Not to offend anyone, and the area seems fine overall, but at night it's dark and not the best establishment nearby. Anyway, super excited about this one. Thanks everyone for the info and photos! Virginia to Michigan was a little rough...

Yup. In fact, two of the pedestals are like that at this new SuC. One at each end of the row.

There is some progress at the Lynchburg site. As of yesterday, there were two white cabinets installed that I definitely hadn't seen previously. I didn't get a picture, but they looked similar to the ones in this post here: Pictures of V3 Supercharger cabinets

The question for me is still where will it go? I don't know of any Meijer or Sheetz locations near there.

Here's hoping that Superchargers are part of that renovation project in Danville. Keep us posted! As far as Farmville, I agree, but the only concern I have is that the Sheetz in Farmville is always packed and there's barely enough room to park or drive through the lot. Maybe they will extend...

Interesting that Farmville is now listed on the official Supercharger map, but Lynchburg is still not listed. Also, as a side note, Williamsburg is now listed as coming soon, but unfortunately nothing for Danville. We're getting there.....

75D Sept 2018 build. No single pedal driving, no cone detection, and no performance increase. I got scheduled charging and automatic navigation. That's it.

I drove by the Madison site on Tuesday and the Lynchburg site on Thursday hoping maybe they got their pedestals like Newport News and some other locations....but no dice at either location.

No, this is not normal behavior.

I had the same issue, and was able to record mine and capture it and send it to Tesla, and they still didn't do anything until it failed.

I bet it's for renovation - although I agree that it's a great spot for a supercharger. If OP has already asked Farmville if there is a permit, the next step is for someone to go inside and ask staff about renovation plans and/or a Supercharger installation.

I have a fall 2018 MX build. Two weeks ago the a AC completely failed and required an overhaul. The damaged compressor drained the 12v battery and after a week the X was completely dead. Roadside assistance (they were great) towed it 2 hours to the service center. It's a long story, but we had...

Good news on this front. Richmond SC this week said they should be doing them by the beginning of 2020!

Yup, the sheetz on RT 29 near the airport. The construction is at a standstill waiting on the pedestals like many others new sites.

Yeah, there have been a few like that lately. Both the Lynchburg and Madison supercharger construction sites are not on the official Tesla map.

The Supercharger going in at the Sheetz in Madison is only about 17 miles from Culpeper and only about 53 miles from the Haymarket Supercharger. Now Danville, however, needs a SC ASAP imo.

You must mean Tesla destination chargers which are different from the Tesla Superchargers going in at the Sheetz. Destination Charging | Tesla Supercharger | Tesla

Yup, Williamsburg really does need one. At least we found out this week that the Newport News location is now under construction.

The delays are unfortunate, but I'm excited about all these new charger locations in Virginia. If you haven't seen the thread yet, the Newport News location is finally under construction now too!

With the relatively recent discoveries of the Salem and Lynchburg Supercharger locations, is anyone up for scoping out the Danville area Sheetz to see if there is any activity there? Looks like there is only one Sheetz in the area, but I'm not very familiar with it.

So we are hoping then that the sites waiting for pedestals will be v3 sites? Or are the cabinets already in place and indicate they are still v2?

Does anyone know or suspect if this is because they are waiting for the new v3 equipment?

A lot of us are hoping so. I checked with Sheetz and asked last week about the Wards location in Campbell County just off of RT 460. They said no plans. But there are still 4/5 or so other Sheetz in the Lynchburg area. So who knows.
