    Battery Un-degradation?

The car has to be asleep for 2+ hours in order to take stable voltage readings that can update the BMS.

    HV Battery Health Test Confusion

The car can correct 1mv of imbalance per 24 hours. That's 24 hours where the car is asleep with HV battery disconnected

Brake Brandishing [burnishing]/My wheels are trashed

Tesla burnishes the brakes at the factory. Every vehicle is sent out onto a track with a driver who burnishes the brakes and makes sure the car is performing normally.

    16V Lit-Ion Battery

I'll say, there's a chance some intrepid hacker will figure out how to retrofit the new 16V li-ion. Probably will have to be someone who has root on their car. But I agree there is no chance of Tesla offering a retrofit.

    Steering column control module

So... it takes Tesla 2 hours to do it, figure you can do it in 3-4. Still quite a good return on the money if you're comfortable working on the car.

Preparing my Tesla Model 3 for a long [road] trip?

Trust me, unless you plan on wrenching on the suspension, a 10mm is all the friend your Tesla needs on a road trip.

Cruise Control, Autopilot Unavailable/No Cars on Display

Unsure whether you're trying to be funny, or just upset about experiences you've had with your car, since this is the first you've posted in this thread.

Preparing my Tesla Model 3 for a long [road] trip?

I'm going to disagree with this one. Name a situation where you need more than a 10mm socket?

unfortunately yes. Time to visit the service center.

7.4% range loss after Michelin CrossClimate2 tires

Something else is wrong. I have Michelin CrossClimate2 tires and my 65mph consumption as measured by ABRP is 267Wh/mi, but I also have a roof rack and fishing kayak holders on the roof rack. edit: Nevermind - I'm on a LR RWD, and I assume you have dual motors.

Gen3 HPWC disassembly, with overheating issues explained!

Wouldn't just buying two Wall Connectors ($400 each, $800 total) be a better deal than that $1,500 clipper creek "sweet thing"? Plus the Wall Connectors will do dynamic current allocation, while the clipper creek unit just splits the charge rate in half for each vehicle.

2022 Tesla Model 3 LR Projector to Matrix headlight retrofit

The connector is the same, it's just that gateway value 28 needs to be changed to enable matrix headlights. If a SC says they'll do it, lets see what happens!

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

I'm not loving the fact that they call this a 150kW adapter. Will using it at a 350kW station cause problems? I've gotten charge rates of 190kW+ using my Tesla CCS1 adapter at EA's 350kw stations.

any reason to upgrade my 2019 M3 while waiting for CyberTruck?

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

This just goes along with my theory that Tesla is purposefully allowing NA owners to purchase the CCS1 adapter from Korea. It allows the "super fans" to get their hands on it, and it provides Tesla with a lot of test data about CCS charging in the USA.

    Skid plate justification

I'm saying, my fiberboard covers were destroyed by a chunk of ice on a road trip. Why would I replace them with more Fiberboard when Aluminum is basically the same price? The increased wattage comes from my personal experience on that road trip. watts/mile went up to 350 at 65mph on the drive...
  41. smatthew

    Skid plate justification

How about this for justification: The aluminum skid plates are barely more expensive than replacement fiberboard covers. It doesn't take something big to rip the heck out of the fiberboard - and a ripped fiberboard cover can easily add 75-100 watts usage PER MILE.

Could Tesla recommend which shared SC stall to use on arrival?

My understanding is that when a part starts failing in the supercharger cabinet, the system goes to 50/50 split. I've been to V2 chargers that still do the "first driver priority split" thing. I've also been to sites (Springfield, OR I'm looking at you) where certain stalls split 50/50, and...

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Car worked perfectly with every CCS station I tried. At one charger, I did get a "Proximity error", but disconnecting and re-connecting solved it. Highlights: Tritium 75kW chargers provide 75kW for the entire charge session (until it starts ramping down at high SOC). Very odd for a CCS...

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Went on a little road trip. Thanks to the CCS adapter I was able to get 490 kWh of FREE charging AND try out a ton of different CCS chargers. At $.48/kWh, that's like $235 in free charging. Like, I almost paid for the adapter in one trip.

New 2022 Model 3 has "VCFRONT a192" issue

The HV contactor is in the "penthouse" of the battery pack. That part is designed to be opened and parts replaced. I had my PCS replaced 80,000 miles ago - no issues so far with their work.

How to perform brake fluid health check?
