    3G Phase Out

I had my Battery fuse replaced last week and they changed the 8GB eMMC at the same time - so that has been done. Which makes me think that it might be as mentioned, just a modem change. (like why would you put the 8GB one in if the whole MCU is about to be made redundant). in any case, I'll...

    3G Phase Out

With this date coming closer, are there any plans/procedures in place by Tesla for those with cars running 3G. I've done a couple of searches of the AU forum but nothing concrete in here. Is it still a case of replacing the whole screen assembly? or can the modem be upgraded separately? or do...

    Service Request Response Times

Only issue is I am sort of obligated to buying a replacement then, and if they come back with some silly pricing on the wheels. I'd rather just go 19" all round.

    Service Request Response Times

Yep, can agree with that, the tyres are about $200 a corner cheaper in some cases.

    Service Request Response Times

I have a cracked rear wheel, 21" Turbine, and put in a Service Request to get a price on a replacement wheel or 2. Exactly how long does it take to reply to my request with a price, it will be going on 4 days now. Is this the norm? surely there must be a number I can call to get a response...

Plaid owner experience: Melted chargeport, Passenger door pops open while driving, AP Cameras bugged. 21 days in service in first month of ownership.

When you say 'door pops open' are you talking about the whole door or just he handles?

FSD v9.0 in Australia is just a con isn't it?

If you buy the FSD, and sell the car after 5 years and it still hasn't been implemented do you get a refund or does the FSD go with the car?
  9. R

FSD v9.0 in Australia is just a con isn't it?

I don't ever think it will come to Australia. Driving on our roads every day there is just no way it can handle all the bad line markings, roadworks, weird intersections, roundabouts etc, etc. If it does come in a limited form to qualify as being 'released' you will be getting alerts all the...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Has anyone noticed the brake regen is nowhere near as 'brakey' as it was before? mine almost feels like I've charged it up to 100% when there is no regen. Not sure what version it started happening on. (2015 P85D). Checked all the related settings and they haven't changed.

    About that "yoke" steering wheel

How many times have you found yourself craning or lowering your neck trying to look at your instrument cluster? Myself personally that figure would be zero. I can only think it would be an issue if you were a basketball player and quite tall?

Can anyone recommend a good tyre inflator?

Is the Tesla one no good? Has got me out of trouble a few times. Does overheat quickly though, so you have to take it easy. Also has the option to use tyre sealant from the other hose in it.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Wish they'd fix the auto wiper logic!! I was on quiet straight stretch of road and let it just do it's thing. It stops and then never starts again even though you can hardly see out. I can't understand what the logic is doing, has the code crashed or something. I have to always click it up or...

Telstra and time frames is another aspect. Knowing them it will most likely be 2030 before it happens.

    ChargeFox EV charging Network

Yeah the one near me, has been down for yonks (like weeks/months), I daresay it is not used much but yeah.

Sydney - New M8 Tunnel weirdness

Hard to say but would be pretty close, I was very quick on the accelerator so am not sure if that cancelled anything out. The car lurched forward and the back lifted up so it was quite a sudden slow down. And in relation to other comments, I was in a tunnel so definitely no things running...

    Another rejected model Y

If these are all the visible defects that have got through QC, I shudder to think about this same level of QC on the drive train, suspension, safety equipment, battery that you can’t see.

Sydney - New M8 Tunnel weirdness

Not sure if anyone else has experienced it, but was driving Westbound on this today. Being a new tunnel with speed cameras I thought it prudent to put the Cruise Control on (not Auto-Pilot). Twice it emergency braked thinking there was a pedestrian walking across the road. The only thing I can...

I'd like to see the PDS on the Agreed Value figure. I can't see them paying $40K over what the car is worth.

    Supercharger - Broadway (Glebe) NSW

Maybe only cars already parked there can get out. So if I leave at 3am the boom gates let me out but not back in again.

    Evanex postage charges!

I use MyUS which gives you a US address I checked it and 1Kg is about $32USD delivered in 3-5 days via Fedex. So the DHL price doesn't seem correct.

Why such a large down payment? What is the benefit of that?

    Supercharger - Macquarie Park, NSW

It would cost me more in Tolls to get there (from Western Sydney) and back than charging at home. :-( Still hoping one day they'll put one near the Lighthorse Interchange.

Model 3 GPS position error in tunnel

Sydney M5 Tunnel is the bad. Mine tends to put me about 50M either side of the tunnel, would never use the Autopilot in such a situation. It doesn't seem to snap to streets or anything but if you have Navigation running it will go a bit crazy.

    Tesla St Leonards to close

1 SC in the whole of Sydney, in a cramped underground car park in the middle of the city at that. They need at least another 2 or 3 (Sydney North, Sydney South, Sydney West near the motorways for travellers). Expecting someone doing say Canberra to Brisbane/Newcastle to have to hit Broadway or...

    V10 includes spotify

And it works well if you have Premium. Brings all my playlists over, basically functions as the normal app version. Can sometimes time out, but usually flicking to another source and back again will fix any issues. Don't think you can download songs or anything (not tried) or specify quality of...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I saw a transporter with 5 M3's on it at about 10.15am this morning near King Georges Rd on the M5, heading for Canberra I daresay? 3 white and 2 red I think it was.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

When you look at our roads, intersections, constant roadworks, roundabouts, poorly marked roads I just can't see how they could do this. Like the intersection for Bunnerong and Anzac Pde in Sydney (just one random quick example). You'd be always having to be alert and watching, ready to take...

    Supercharger - Tuggerah, NSW

One tip, raise your suspension up one notch when leaving, the speed hump at the top of the ramp caught me going down. No problems with any of them going up. There is a nice cafe inside the shopping centre in the middle part.

St. Leonards & Richmond Superchargers Gone From Map

Twin servos on the M4 would be good, in the Red Rooster car park (always plenty of spots in there), is just off the M7 for travellers and has Maccas, Red Rooster, and Service station. Will be near the new Zoo, Wet n Wild, Eastern Creek Raceway etc.
  39. R

St. Leonards & Richmond Superchargers Gone From Map

Surely not, that would leave the whole of Sydney with a grand total of 1 Supercharger location. (in the basement of a shopping centre)

    Spotify on version 9

One thing I've noticed which is a bit annoying, is if you go into Romantic mode it then defaults to the Romantic Playlist every time when you start up, even if you have used another few playlists since.

    Tesla clothing Apparel in Australia

I use one of the US Post Box type services myus.com and have anything I've ordered sent there and then once I have a few items from various retailers have them all sent back in the one box.
