    Carbon Neutral Jet Fuel

"SpaceX is already developing high efficiency CO2 capture with H2O to form liquid CH4 (methane) & O2. Critical for propellant production at Mars Base Alpha." Does Earth have enough CO2 in the air to make this worthwhile on Earth, or just on Earth's neighboring planets? Mar's atmosphere is...

    Superchargers in public parking lots

Since it's publicly available, you should have no trouble providing a link showing how much Tesla pays the power company at its existing super chargers, I am curious to find out. If residential rates were cheap there would be less need for super chargers, at least for local use. Tesla increases...

    Superchargers in public parking lots

The Sun and SDGE, where else would they get energy? Sure commercial rates, but I bet it wouldn't be much lower, SDGE is known for high prices. Ya spell checker only, no grammar checker...

    Superchargers in public parking lots

Post title: Superchargers in public parking lots Source of energy for these super chargers: Solar canopies most likely, local power company has high rates. Not enough solar panels for EV charging at home, and local power company has the highest rates in the nation, though from the latest posts...

    Superchargers in public parking lots

5 years ago SDGE was awarded the nation's highest electric rates https://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2013/apr/24/citylights1-electric-rates/ I wouldn't be surprised if they still had that honor this year. San Diego could really make use of all the mall parking lots plastered with solar shade...

    Superchargers in public parking lots

Ya the netmetering would be more beneficial if I had more panels. Thanks for the SDGE EV rate page, so no monthly limits when charging your EV? No teirs?

    Superchargers in public parking lots

I was disappointed, the final agreed upon solar design was not installed so I'm missing a few panels on the best Equator-facing roof face, and the way it's offset they can't add more. I have a few on a Pole-facing roof face which is only good near Summer Solstice. I have 2 more roof faces but...

I didn't know SDGE had special rates for electric vehicles. So what are the TOU rates?

    Superchargers in public parking lots

Monthly solar energy collection peaks around 700kwh and valleys around 400kwh for me. Usually cooling systems like AC suck up any extra near the Summer Solstice. Annual energy consumption is usually around 10 mwh, and I only get around 7mwh from solar so I end up paying SDGE at the end of the...

    Superchargers in public parking lots

Ah, thanks for the info. Though considering solar panels collect less energy during the Winter, it probably ends up costing the same as you use more energy from SDGE to make up for making less energy with the panels.

    Superchargers in public parking lots

San Diego could use chargers in parking lots (already lost chargers in the Stadium, went up north to LA!) Seriously though SDGE is about to make energy for electric vehicles more expensive than gas vehicles...
