Yeah there are. Whenever I speak with Tesla I’m always very friendly as I know they probably get their share of outraged callers. Ultimately it’s a shame the communication between the factory and the sales team is so non-existent. It makes their job harder and our experience worse.

Called again, still no concrete news though I am told (again) that a VIN is usually generated at 6-8 weeks and I’m on week seven so it should be close.

Damn you are a month ahead of me. When I have called in they suggest to me around the 6-8 week mark is when I should be getting a VIN. I don't know if it's different as I'm on the west coast. Have you rang in much to chase things up at all ?

This goes with what I consistently said that they are delivering cars every day and it’s just a fraction of people that are here on forums. The vast majority of people order a car and carry on until they get it. They don’t join forums or Facebook groups.

I prefer being able to have communication with someone taking $70K of my money. And with the internet nowadays you don’t get ripped off by car salesman. This isn’t 1974. You know exactly how low they can go.
