California DMV - Plates & HOV Stickers

RIP red sticker. I had a good run.

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

I recently got a survey from Ford that revealed detailed F150 lighting pricing (I have res for both the F150 & CT, I'll remain undecided for a while). I was too lazy to screenshot it, but of course someone else did.

Supercharger growth in San Diego County

I've been looking at the in-car Nav and the app since Mission Valley opened, and the most I've seen in use is 12, but usually 4-6. I assume that will continue to ramp up. Camino Del Sur & Qualcomm are consistently full. Especially Qualcomm. Another prediction: Downtown A street becomes a ghost...

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

I have never been to the Qualcomm SC, but if traffic is your concern, I'd argue Downtown is waaaaay better than Sorrento Valley traffic, especially at 5pm on a weekday. Mira Mesa Blvd, I-5 / I-805, and environs is downright nightmarish. The weekend is probably OK.

    New SDG&E rate: EV-TOU-5

Yes, thank you, that helps. I have east-facing solar. For a variety of reasons, that was the sensible solution for my house. I am a net-consumer, but EV-TOU-5 would absolutely neuter my solar production. With my usage patterns, legacy tiered rates are best for me. I hoping I can opt-in...

    New SDG&E rate: EV-TOU-5

A couple questions if anyone knows... 1. With rooftop solar, I have NEM 1.0 (PTO 2014). Am I grandfathered in to tiered rates until 2034 with no TOU (pretty sure yes)? 2. If I sell my house, does #1 above transfer to the new owner? My googlefu fails on this one.

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

I was parked in the garage for about 5 hours. First 30 minutes on a charger then moved to a non-charger spot. I was the only car of any kind exiting at 10:30pm and maybe it was just serendipity that the exit gate was open and guard just didn't GAF at that instant. Related to that and the...

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

I was there and saw that X...what you can't see in the pic is that he had a tow-hitch cargo carrier. He could not have backed into a spot. There were many open stalls from 5-6pm. I agree it was poor form; what he should have done is parked on the the other side of the foundation columns...

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

I got out for free last night about 10:30pm. The exit gate was open and the security guard was there--he waved me through.

How do I edit my post? anyways, Meant to say that I've eaten at the kebob place a few times. It's decent.

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

I must have seen you there, if that's your silver 3? When I arrived at 5:15pm, all 16 stalls were available. I like everything about this place except for the confined space should it ever get busy. This location is a block away from a once-weekly destination of mine, and I'll happily pay $5 to...

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

One could leverage the row on the opposite side if it's mostly empty. But if this place gets full, prepare to execute the 829-point ballet. I like the suggestion above--everyone sticks to one side until half full. Obviously that would be hard to coordinate long-term. To add to my post above...

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

A street entrance open 2:30pm Sunday July 8, 2018. There were between 4 - 8 stalls in use during my 40 minutes there. 6th street exit gate closed, paid $5 to exit and the gates open to let you out. To reiterate upthread, if you have parking anxiety (I very much do), it doesn't get much worse...
