    LOL. Unfair.

Model Y’s sold out in the Midwest supposedly

Telsa stock price will keep dropping. There is an overall drop in demand just like the housing market due to high interest rates and inflation hitting the economy and a pull back from high priced durable goods ie: Teslas. And the recession has not even hit full stride yet...

New Service & Sales Center: Superior, CO

Looks like the service center is a severely damaged once all's said and done, but showroom side did not suffer as much external damage. But I don't know what the heat created from the metal structure can do to whatever is inside the building.

New Service & Sales Center: Superior, CO

For those of you who are already aware of the horrific fire in Boulder Co, I've heard of reports that the Tesla dealership in superior has been engulfed in flames by the fast moving fire. I'm 10 miles from there and have seen the hotel next to the dealership burn on television, so there's a...

    Diminished value claim?

Not worth it. At $400-$600 /hr. Between the back and forth with the insurance company you're looking at $5-$6k minimum in lawyer fees for what? I have fought and gotten about 10% in diminished value but you have to keep fighting them.

    Is Yoke Steering Wheel legal?

Difference between driving a Ferrari (a car that commands your attention) and mother Molly driving 3 kids to the soccer game all distracted, is that noone likes fiddling with their iPhone (since Tesla has no CarPlay), starbucks drink and screaming kids while looking for randomly placed...

Worst than that dangerous steering wheel is the replacement of the turn indicator stalk with those funny buttons on the steering wheel. Tell me this is just a Beta version.

Major 2021 Model X refresh pending [Update: Unveiled January 27, 2021]

Model Y is more low rent than a Model X. They are in different classes. Its like comparing an X7 to an X3.

3 years on, I have decided to move on from my beloved X

I agree. The rear center console is pretty useless since you can't use it as an arm rest and just makes getting to the back seats that much more tedious for the kids .I removed it and patched a do it yourself fix.
  13. testarossa

3 years on, I have decided to move on from my beloved X

The other MAJOR complaint I had with my Model X was a lack of proper elbow rest position for your right arm. Its rest is just too far back and your had ends up dangling around, or forced to rest on your lap. Which also means the cup holders are way too far back. For those who like to...

3 years on, I have decided to move on from my beloved X

I'm moving on from my MX as well. The battery technology just isn't there yet for family travel. Once the kids get over all the "cool games" on the infotainment, 1 hour waits at the supercharger stations is impractical. Not to mention, desperately looking for superchargers when you're on...

    Model X 2017

I have a 2017 P100D. It have been relatively trouble free. The MCU is quite slow and the suspension is something out of 2005 and LOUD, but the car has been very reliable once some issues got sorted out like the falcon doors.

Major 2021 Model X refresh pending [Update: Unveiled January 27, 2021]

Who knows when the new model x will be out. Hopefully it's not just a refresh, or they will continue to lose luxury market share, there needs to be a complete overhaul of the platform. I for one will not get another tesla after my lease runs out this month which is unfortunate because I...

    2021 Q7 vs X ?

Thank you sir. It will arrive in January, right after my Tesla lease ends but this is basically the car. Probably the biggest thing I'll miss with the Tesla is the self presenting doors. But I can't wait to hear that V8 growl again.

    2021 Q7 vs X ?

My Model X lease is up next month. I wasn't terribly impressed with the fit and finish/ clunky falcon doors, constant freezing screens and the inability to travel distances with kids with my P100D. I too was extremely impressed with the Audi quality and features as well. My choice was the new...

MY did not work for us after the test drive

We also have a new Ford Raptor in our garage which we take for long road trips (our Model X is not a good long road trip car when with kids), and the back seats are also very flat. Model X reliability...

Yup. It took two new sets of sensors to do the trick. Teslas do not do very well in the desert heat. Issues include inadequate A/C when over 110 degrees, and inoperative autopilot.

Model Y versus Ford Mustang Mach-E

I agree, but have you tried traveling in a Tesla on a long weekend on a well traveled route? What the supercharger maps don't tell you is the long wait times and unorganized lines just to get a spot once you're there, and of course ramping down the charging as you approach 80% all while hauling...

Model Y versus Ford Mustang Mach-E

My biggest concern would be that you're buying a brand new model in its inaugural year. Personally I wouldn't buy neither car in their first year of production. Now by 2021 you would hope that much of the issues the model Y had have been ironed out. I suspect that there will be the usual stealer...

Aftermarket Model Y rear facing seat...

Adding aftermarket seats and increasing the passenger count on a car which is certified to hold x number of passengers is a sure way of voiding your insurance coverage liability in an accident. Even adding seat belt extenders will void insurance liability.

    X vs Y

I'll be giving my X up in a few months probably for the Y. Things I'll miss.. 1. Ludicrous acceleration. 2. self presenting doors (once you have it you know what I'm talking about) 3. front screen (I've had a Prius years ago and unless you have HUD it sucks to look down and to the right for...

    2019 Tesla model X 100D for sale

That's exactly what I'm referring too. 2019 Tesla model X 100D for sale

I would disagree about the seating arrangement. The 6 seater is much more utilitarian for us when compared to the 7 seat version. Access to the third row is a simple walk in between the second row seats rather than having to shove the entire second row forward to reach the back in the 7 seat...

    Model X Used Prices

Posts like this are funny. It's a depreciating asset, of course they will drop at some point. I don't any significant price drops at least for six months. Most used car dealers carry their inventory on super low interest rates, and since most are closed, there is no motivation to adjust...

    New X?

It's not just the drive to the destination that you have to take in account. I agree with everything you said. But driving on a busy long weekend with kids is a different story. It does feel like a dinosaur, but it has sooo much room, even with 5 people in our family there is plenty of space in the second row to stretch your legs.
