We didn’t get an exact amount before we went for the appointment. Had to guesstimate. They should be able to give you a pretty close amount depending on what you’re financing or not.

My insurance went up by about $10 a month. The Tesla is worth at least 4x the car I got rid of. I believe you get a green discount on insurance. Pretty sweet overall.

I would suggest that when you get it you check the hood, front/rear lights, etc to make sure they’re properly aligned. Also, the paint. We’ve had to send ours back in to fix these things and they’re talked about on many forums. Still LOVE the car though

I got 3.83 for a 4 yr term and 3.93 for a 5 yr but I booked in June and got to keep those rates. 3.78 for 3 yr.

After A LOT of debate, we ended up deciding to go ahead and keep our order. If we decided to wait for the standard battery we would’ve lost our place in line and had to wait till it was even available to configure since they had to refund your entire $4200 deposit and the SB isn’t on the website...

It’s probably because you ordered AWD which was never on the rebate list so they assume you know you were never going to get a rebate at this point. Still would’ve been nice if they’d communicated with you though. If you do want a refund I would call before the end of the week to ask.

I think she might be misinformed. I posted the response from Twitter. Best to have things in writing. Submitting the application is also not the same thing as receiving the rebate. If you get the car before the Sept 11 deadline you’ll get the rebate for the charger install if it was done before...

They’re very accommodating. I think they will. I asked to put it towards the standard battery when it comes out and they were okay with that.

Yup, don’t worry your charger is still eligible (dripping with sarcasm). Apparently the government is composing a press release so it’s more clear. Tesla lawyers are looking into it to see what can be done, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

No one who doesn’t have a plated Tesla before July 11th is getting the rebate. I had a contract from June 21st and will not get the rebate. Tesla is calling everyone who had a contract to tell them personally.

Just spoke to Tesla rep. He said they’ve now communicated with the government and the rebate is revoked for all model 3 reservation holders regardless of whether or not you booked before the 11th because the basically tried to screw over Tesla with the language and have it be confusing to avoid...

I called and got the same answer. You have to have ordered and installed the charger before July 11th too to get both of those rebates.

I just called the Minister of Finance office who controls the ev rebate. They had no idea it had been cancelled even. They said they should be briefed this morning and to call back maybe at 11. The number is 1-866-668-8297.
