To add onto this, this issue I’m informing him about could be outdated information and fixed in an update. I’ve not needed a refresh signal sent since 2023.44.1. So it could easily be patched now.

Just had this happen in my MYLR and it sounded like it was coming from the left b pillar as well. This definitely makes sense since there was no other indication on screen that something happened. I assume this is because the offending car would be highlighted red but since it didn’t exist...

And FWIW, your statement can still be true while mine is as well. The refresh signal is sent by SXM, but it is up to the receivers car system to actually correctly process that signal and refresh the listings.

I’m sure YMMV, but I also sat on customer support for 30 minutes waiting for a refresh signal to be processed. It only came to life after restarting the MCU.

Yes, but once that signal is sent, the refresh button in car does nothing. So if they sent a signal, a restart is required.

FYI I think the refresh button is not activated in our cars. The most consistent way I’ve gotten a refresh signal is rebooting the computer.

Is that USB-A 3.0 or 2.0? I’m curious how that would be different, seeing as the usb c center console is on 2.0 so it should only be using the same pins. That’s very confusing if it can honestly tell the difference. Is it possible that it’s trying to use USB PD?
