Need to replace my all season and snow tires , what are folks using in Canada?

Ditto for us. Very happy & great Costco price. Need the 2's for the heavier car.

    PPF recommendations in GTA, Canada

We have used West Side PP in Oakville ( Jay Lisotte ) & also Evelyn ( windows only as he had an 'exclusive' tint we wanted ); both exceptional.

    Big decision....

You have free Supercharging now & TSLA has been offering 'transfer' of this & FSD until the end of March '24. They will likely repeat this offer again. "Juniper" will be in Canada by year end ( we think/hope ), so possibly roll the dice & go for the new Y then. There is that $5K rebate to...

Supercharger - Grimsby, ON - S Service Road

Finally open; seemed to take forever. Very tight access compared to most locations. Anyone know when the N Service side closes? Once the 'word gets out' the 150 kw side will be much less used.

    Canada - FSD rollout

Agreed in spades. As more data is gathered there will be a modifier?

    FSD price increase - AGAIN!

Ours was CDN$6600 for EAP in 2018, $2700 to get FSD in March 2019 ( only for a couple weeks, I believe ) As you said, hope Cybertruck FSD is locked in.

    Canada - FSD rollout

Got ours Thursday am. 10.69.1.1 Definitely smoother in general, particularly on corners in town. Less hesitation when not sure of the route which is even better when it is going to a programmed destination. Visualizations cover more area too. You still have to be very watchful in town to...

    Eastern Canada Superchargers

I checked that address ( A CDN Tire at Hwy 403 & Dundas ) & there is no evidence of any activity. It looks like a great site however. On a side note, the Gananoque location is at a CDN Tire & was quite close to being completed within a few weeks as of Aug 1st. It was going to have ~ 6/8 250kwh...

    Acceleration Boost - M3P / LR - AWD

You are indeed correct. We got AB back in 2019 & like you, smile any time we use it. That being said, we generally drive in 'chill' mode most of the time. With the advent of FSD in Canada, it will be more difficult to get a high driving score when using AB too much. Them's the breaks. Love our T3

Adding a charger to my 100 amp panel

DMC-Orangeville has given very qualified advice. He 'is' an expert. Please follow his advice. Absolutely you will not need the 200 amp upgrade.
  15. corlaandstan

Adding a charger to my 100 amp panel

Wooah. Way, way overkill. We have a 100 amp panel with a Nema 14-50 plug. In the time since getting our T3 LR in late 2018, we have never had a problem or come close. Setting the car to 32amp ( max ) on a 40 amp breaker is all you need. While you source an electrician, just use the 110 v plug or...

Making suggestions to TSLA/Elon for software updates.

I am wondering what is the 'best' way to make suggestions to TSLA/Elon for future software updates. I'd like to request TSLA implement some features found in Europe "across' the fleet. eg rear fog lights & also consider a 'rapid' flash for braking hard. Some imported European models have these...

Anyone own a red Model 3 or Y?

We have a 2018 M3 red MC with white interior & love it. , it is worth it & was $1600.00 CDN then. Amortized over X months, it is peanuts.

    Does this look Normal

Add us too. The power band is 'way' too narrow & hard to see vs previous os. The area devoted to the vehicle is also too wide. Lots of empty space ( = desert ) which serves no purpose. Anyone know why it was made wider meaning the map screen is smaller? Got to be a lot of frustrated...

  23. corlaandstan

New tesla owner ...wall outlet or new wall charger

Yes, easily. You very likely will need an electrician to install for you ( unless you are fairly handy ) as the cable will need a conduit protection. Likely also need at least # 8 guage wire which is a bit stiff to work with.

Model 3 Window Tinting - GTA

100% on your observations. The owner is hardly ever there & is basically milking the market using 'marginal' technicians. Buyers beware!!

Model 3 Window Tinting - GTA

Echo everything here in spades. Jay is so very reputable & well priced, very professional, very respectful. Inception is riding on it's association with Tesla owners & their quality is low/marginal. Owners club should recind their associationship.

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

We have had no unplanned repair needs so far ( 30K km ) & the one visit was to do a brake service, tire rotation & HW3 update which took 3 hrs. Declined the loaner car as my wife picked me up. Oakville SC has been beyond helpful. No panel gaps, had the car paint protected early on & since we...

    New charging protocol for 2021 TM3 SR+?

Seems to be the case; just seems a bit odd that the SA was 'winging it' on what was a late Dec '20 delivery even when the SC was delivering ~ 40 vehicles per day!

    New charging protocol for 2021 TM3 SR+?

To clarify: Is the battery of a 2021 TM3 SR+ a 'different' battery type than the long range battery of 2018? Or is the battery 'different' than the LR battery of 2021 & therefore need a change in battery management? Thanks

    New charging protocol for 2021 TM3 SR+?

My sister picked up her new ride on the 29th & the SC adviser recommended she discharge her battery to ~10% & then charge to 90% once a month! This was never advised for our TM3+ back in 2018. What would be the reason for the change? SC adviser said 'different' BMS. Who can explain or...

    HW3 Upgrade

We dropped our TM3 off at Oakville SC on Wed Mar 25th for HW3 & brake service ( $175.00 ). As has been mentioned, most settings were lost & not all. Apparently it seems random what is lost/kept. Time of day rates suspended in Ontario

Not to mention there is a "basic" power generation in Ontario with the combination of hydro & nuclear which cannot easily be scaled back in a short timeline. We may still be selling power to the USA at lower than generation costs to "balance" our grid!!!

Used 2018 Model 3 LR RWD Depreciation

Your EAP cost you at least CDN $6600.00 + tax ( if bought at original sale time or CDN $ 9200.00 if after sale ) & your FSD was at the "best" price CDN $2700.00 + tax in March 2019. FSD was mostly CDN $3600.00 +tax.

Windshield Replacement For Model 3 - Toronto Area

I have no personal experience & Canadian SCs do windshields from what I have heard. No idea of cost, time etc. Should be able to email, call, drop by ( of not too far ) to get a quote. The Oakville SC has always been very helpful with me.

looking for cost effective cable organizer for mobile connector can be purchase from Canada

The thing about the 1.0 version of the Tesla organizer was that it covered the working tip of the coupler so less likely to get snow/ice in the mechanism. V 2.0 not so much. "Cali" design?? In a carport, as we have, V 1.0 is beneficial or maybe cover with an elastic sock etc.
