When I asked that question, my IDA claimed that silver deliveries aren’t delayed, but I’m not convinced. We’re also a June order close to the factory with no VIN. @cablue if you get different answers, let us know!

You can see my situation in my signature (turn sideways if you're on mobile). Day 1 reservation, 6/26 order, DA assigned, but no VIN yet (just called again today). There are so many factors that affect delivery in addition to location, that it's really hard to pinpoint for any particular user...

That's funny, I was lamenting all the deliveries in far flung states, while so many of us here are still waiting, just miles from the factory! There are clearly some locations where the odds are better, but they're not all in CA.

Still waiting. IDA says 'hopefully soon'. Sent another ping this morning to ensure mine is delivered before they stop ordering silver paint!

The CSR contact I got at the delivery number has been very communicative, has responded to my calls, reported on the (un-)availability status of my DA, and even called back with some vague instructions from him. Unfortunately, she seemed pretty powerless to actually accomplish anything herself...

That sounds like the result of my call last Thursday, which went didn't amount to anything. Keep the (polite) pressure on if you don't hear back. The phone agent that I talked to today has been cheerfully answering my SMS messages this afternoon, and has been sending internal messages to my DA...

I'm not putting taking that bet given this crazy process, but in contrast to last week's call where the agent seemed shocked(!!) at the lack of DA assignment, but led precisely nowhere, I seemed to (at the very least) make it one step further today.

I called the main CS number today, and after a 30 minute wait, I had an informative conversation where the agent explained that they have a 'new process' that started this week where they're trying to get all 'no progress' June orders set up with a delivery appointment. She alluded to all the...

Count me among those still waiting too. Tempted to drive the 20 miles to the factory and grab the next silver AWD that comes off the line!

Well, given that I'm somewhat flexible on delivery, I'll try to just chill and chuckle over all the chaos. I'm not expecting much until after the EOQ craziness dies down, but it's good to know that I'm not alone in all the confusion. I guess?!? Best of luck for your delivery tomorrow!

My day 3/31/16, 6/26/18 (re-)config and Apr/18 $2500 deposit has not resulted in any movement, so it's clearly more complicated than that.

Good advice. I finally called last week for the 1st time after switch to AWD in May, and the rep was surprised that I didn't have DA assigned as a day 1 reservation, and June order. He flagged my account for review, and said I would be contacted shortly. Nothing yet a couple of days later, but...

Probably not going to make you feel better, but there are still members of your club with early orders too. More likely a result of the huge SFbay backlog though. Not a big fan of this club right about now!

Looks like the queue is more about order date, which does correlate loosely with reservation date, due to how ordering ability was opened up. But delivery logistics does seem to be trumping all right now. As for California orders, the Bay Area at least seems overloaded – my 6/26 order at least...

And I received that apology email too, but not the original email invite! Sounds like their email lists need some work. I'm guessing I didn't get an invite because my config likely wasn't available.

Not built for this event maybe, but tons of AWD + black seats have been assigned vins and delivered (check the spreadsheet). Not mine though!

Interesting thought, but I would think they'd want to shove us cash customers through now so that when all the finance contracts are finalized, they'll have an open schedule to work with. Here's to hoping at least.

Glad to see Silvers included in the communication wave today, and with 19" sports no less. Hope they keep working through the list tomorrow. Feeling left out.

Heh. I have the Nomad charger on order and already have the lug nut covers and center cap set for the aero wheels. But that was before I changed to 19" sport wheels. Doh! :rolleyes:

According to Troy's spreadsheet, Silver VINs have outpaced MSM this week. I'm sitting tight. (day 1 reservation here too)
