FWIW, I took it to service and they supposedly lubed and adjusted the windows to fix the pinch. There was also a noise on the FWD at the top of the opening that sounded like rubbing, and they found the secondary strut was bad and replaced it.

Got it back from service. Apparently water in the trunk switch and they had to replace it.

My car is now in service, so we will see if they find anything. I was told the cars don't have FM radio and it is just a streaming service, so might have just been an issue with the connectivity to the online service. The radio was working again when i dropped it off.

My wife just informed me the FM radio doesn't seem to be working either. It just shows a spinner when trying to select a station. So, maybe it is a more widespread issue than just the trunk\rear.

FWIW I finally got a chance to try this. The service mode self-test calibration failed after multiple attempts. I was able to find the errors, which are VCLEFT_a375, which is what i suspected, that it thinks it is obstructed.

Ok thanks i can try that for the windows. For the FWD opening, it is definitely not related to objects near. They make a "bad" sound like rubbing\scraping sound near the top of the movement range like it is binding on something.

Odd. I believe the software update also updates firmware. The hold means it is a safety issue or something they would have to recall to do in person. So either some firmware that is not updatable via OTA, or it is a firmware in something required for OTA to function properly (LTE, wifi, etc.)

You may already know this, but seat belt extenders are not legal\approved for use in cars or with car seats\boosters. There have been many cases of kids injured, possibly fatally because of seat belt extenders that weren't safe.

Yes of course, but it is a sampling. Of that sampling there are currently 7 VINs from Sept 2021 or earlier and 1 from after. As percentages of outstanding orders, that is 14.0% of Sept '21 and older outstanding orders have VINs, and 1.4% of newer outstanding orders have VINS. Pretty clear...

Everyone always says that, but no... Most VINs in the sheet are Sept '21 and older. You appear to be one of the unlucky ones having to wait longer, and I'm really sorry for that, but the general trend is that they fulfill older orders first.

Model X are only made in Fremont. The VIN will have a PF before the last 6 digit number if it is a 2023

No, that is a pretty new VIN, and most June orders have been delivered already. That EDD was just the default placeholder that many people get before getting a VIN.

Whhhhhat? You effectively have a 30k discount over the current MSRP. If you don't want the car because you have others on order you would rather have that makes sense, but you are worried about the minor value difference of a '22 vs a '23 when you are already saving 30k. Makes no sense to me...

There is someone recently who rejected a VIN and had their order cancelled, so it is certainly a possibly, however if they do that for a 6 month old car, that is pretty terrible of them.

I took mine in for a rattle and they fixed it, however I did the legwork of figuring out exactly where the rattle was coming from and how to reproduce the rattle without even driving, so I think that helped a lot. They ended up replacing the entire 3rd row of seat backs.

I don't think there is any risk on changing it. It might impact your delivery date, but it could make it sooner or later, hard to say. If it is later, I don't think it will be a big difference.
