Isn't this a toggle switch? When the trunk is closed, one click will open it. If it is open, one click will close it. If it is moving, one click will stop it, and another click will continue the movement. There is a sensor on the trunk that will prevent decapitation.

Pretty common problem. Due to the size of the file. 7.3 GB, it will not always download the entire file at once if, for example, you cancel by starting a trip. Then it does not always work to start the update from where it was interrupted. Contact Tesla for a restart.
