What does your max current say when on HPWC?

The voltage is always around 245 but the max number is always 47 even though I preset it to 48 before connecting the WC cable. It's definitely not a big deal. Guess I'm curious more than anything. My service center said that I can't upgrade to high capacity charging even if I pay the $1900...

Did drive unit fluid change today

No, just wanted to get the initial "break in" fluid out and clean the magnetic plugs off. There was a small amount of grey "sludge" on each plug. About what I expected for the initial 10,000 miles. The fluid looked great from each unit. I know that the 8 year DU warranty does not require the...

What does your max current say when on HPWC?

I just installed a new gen 2 HPWC with a VERY short run of #4 wire, Since my car only has a 48 amp charger I used a 60 Amp breaker and set the HPWC selector accordingly. It SHOULD be charging at 48 amps but only charges at 47 amps every time. Does anyone know why??

Did drive unit fluid change today

My SC told me today that pre-June 2016 Teslas have the -F front gearboxes and require the Mobil Oil and post June 2016 Teslas have the -J front gearboxes and use Dexron VI. I changed both gearbox lubricants today. The rear was simple but the front is a pain in the ass. Lots and lots of panels to...

Did drive unit fluid change today

I've read in several places that front drive units ending in -J or later use Dexron VI, but it is impossible to get to the part number tag on my front DU. Does anyone know when the switch was made to Dexron VI for the front units or how I can find out what DU my P100D has? Do ALL P100D's...

I've read in several places that front drive units ending in -J or later use Dexron VI, but it is impossible to get to the part number tag on my front DU. Does anyone know when the switch was made to Dexron VI for the front units or how I can find out what DU my P100D has? Do ALL P100D's...

Unlimited Free Supercharging for 2016 models changed?

Your point is well taken. The convenience is a big deal. On the other hand, I estimate that I would use about $500- $1,000/year of supercharging electricity. If I keep the car for 7-10 years, it could add up to $10K which is substantial.

Unlimited Free Supercharging for 2016 models changed?

Thanks Martin. My car was delivered in December 2016 so I would think that the supercharging would transfer but I don't have any way to contact the original owner to have them look at their MyTesla account. I appreciate your response!

Unlimited Free Supercharging for 2016 models changed?

I'm new to this forum, so please don't blast me for asking a question that has been discussed a fair amount. I am looking at purchasing a used 2016 Model S P100D from a 3rd party car dealership. When I called Tesla Customer Service the rep told be that he was just told that cars PURCHASED after...
