2016 mcu1/ap1... voice commands are working great and as advertised on 2020.4.1 Not sure that I’ve seen this noted yet, but can even set the heat seater level. “Turn on drivers heat seater level 2”. Works just as nicely on passengers seat heater.

2016 P90D on 2019.24.4 and no issues. I’m running the 2019 map update as well.

Ranger took my car to his home as he had all the necessary tools there, and said he spent about 5 hours in total.

Sorry, should have been more specific in my comment about Tesla Ranger doing the install. He did it own his own time after I contacted him about doing the install. He had been to my home over the past 2 years, doing work on my Model S too, so felt very confident about his abilities.

I had both of mine replaced for fans that would turn off, so I would not say it is terribly unusual to have 2 headlight assemblies have the same defect.

Interesting mileage numbers that you posted. I’ve had my P90D, new since June 2016, and not had any updates which have effected the range. I started out new with 275 miles of range and at just over 21000 miles, at 100% SOC, I’m right round 270.

I had the exact same problem as you Nick. There was only 1 solution which worked for me. I bought her a model 3. Now her model S keyfob is in retirement and my seat and configurations are never changing. I didn’t say it would be an inexpensive solution. :)

I have the same year model S. I had buzzing from both headlights and had them replaced by a ranger. Ranger informed me there are cooling fans in the head light assemblies. They went through a batch of bad assemblies which would not shut off the cooling fans.

Well, if you were not all the way over there in Nevada, I would run over my UMC to you to see if that is the problem. Maybe someone locally to you will respond, and provide a UMC for you to try.

I had the exact same problem you are describing on my wife’s model 3, and also concluded that other “applicances”, were causing the failure by stressing the 20A circuit. I isolated the circuit as best I could and problem continued. I also used the UMC from my model S, and it still continued...

AP 1 owner here. I was on the release prior to 36.2 and have 9.0 running today. I suspect your suspicions may be correct about AP2.5 and or MCU2.
