For comparison, I drove from NJ to Maine yesterday in on and off heavy rain and very low visibility. Used AP throughout the trip with zero AP disengagement. I took delivery in June 2020 and my car has radar.

I am speculating here. If their experiment with vision only doesn’t yield same or better results compared to vision + radar, I see them retrofitting radar unit in cars in 2022. Nevertheless I feel this is a one heck of a smart move to get around part shortage. Bravo!

Tesla doesn’t sell seat covers. They sell the entire seat. One front seat is $1800 plus. Taptes sells white seat covers.

When I took the delivery back in June 2020, MY with white interior was $56k. And to qualify for NJ state $5K rebate, the purchase price had to be under $55K and so I had to go with black interior. Tesla dropped the price of MY by $3k sometime in August.

Well said! For these reasons I traded in my 2018 MX for M3 and then moved to MY. Super happy with MY.

Post delivery my car needed 5 service visits (5 months) to address all delivery issues. Sigh. Out of 5 visits, they tried to align the hood in 4 visits (3 different service centers in NJ). Here is how it looks now. Not 100% perfect yet. I finally gave up.

For me the foam applicator worked. I did run it 2-3 times though to cover the rubber strip fully.

I washed the car and cleaned the rubber seals before applying the protectant. I applied it on the sides where the door glass rests and let it dry in sun for 30 mins. I do see light streaks on the sides where protectant was applied. No big deal as it is only visible when the doors are open. It...

I used a leather case to hide it. And used plasti dip on the back of the ezpass. It is barely noticeable from outside.
