Supercharger - Brentwood / Nashville, TN (Old Hickory Blvd)

Hopefully all those dispensers are manufactured and shipped to TN already since they laid off ~14% of the Supercharger factory staff.

Supercharger - Brentwood / Nashville, TN (Old Hickory Blvd)

FYI, charger 3A is not functioning. Looks to be something stuck in one of the PIN slots. I’ll report on the post charging survey when I leave.

Supercharger - Nashville, TN - Charlotte Pike

Expansion is underway. Two stalls are unavailable due to trenching (only one of these is marked out of order in navigation status.)

Construction has started! Location is in front of the Regal and behind the Panera

Site is basically down. Only 2 of 12 stalls working (if that’s even accurate)

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

No, the Ground Floor where the chargers are located is neither paid nor secured. There are signs down there that say Hotel Parking Only, but you'll be fine when you're at the chargers.

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

The site is still not working, but on an encouraging note the meter does appear to be powered up now and no longer showing a blank screen. The display seems to be in a diagnostic mode indicating, I would guess, that someone needs to finish setting it up. Hopefully that's in someone's Inbox at NES.

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

Just spoke to one of the installers who was on site. He says they are waiting on NES who needs to do some upgrades. He wasn’t able to say when those would be done.

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

As of today, we have a meter though charging is not yet functional. The meter wasn’t showing any usage, so likely the site is totally powered down.

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

The permit website indicates the final electrical inspection was June 8th, but still no meter. The NES meter should be the next and final step, I'd expect.

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

All construction appears to be completed. The fencing has been taken down and all staged parts & equipment were removed from the site. Looks like we are just waiting for an NES meter and/or maybe final city inspections. Otherwise, I assume it’s done.

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

Work continues daily… looks like they may be mostly, if not completely, done inside the garage. Currently they are doing the exterior power work.

Just looked — they are not magic dock. Just a regular charger.

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN

I see the Plugshare post that claims all but 3 stations are fenced off, but that wasn’t my experience when I was there a couple weeks ago. All existing 8 stalls were available (with fencing around the new work.) I don’t think you need to make a detour unless the map in the car says there’s a...

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

The location for the new Nashville downtown Supercharger was accidentally posted (briefly) on Tesla’s site as 500 11th Ave in the Gulch before being changed to just “Nashville”. As of 3/9/23, a permit has been filed for 1600A‘s of electric vehicle chargers at 500 11th Ave. Nothing in the...

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN - 11th Ave N

Tesla accidentally posted exact addresses for a bunch of coming soon locations before removing them and just listing the city. This one was listed with the address of 500 11th Avenue North Nashville, TN 37203 (Capitol View/Gulch). Unsure if that’s just an approximate aspirational location or a...

Supercharger - Adairsville, GA - Union Grove Rd SE

Don’t know if another Supercharger in the same city is a mistake or intentional, but the specific location of any “coming soon” chargers on the Tesla map is never exact. It’s only an approximation after they determine they would like to add a location in that area. Of course, a “coming...

Supercharger - Nashville, TN - Charlotte Pike

The official Tesla “coming soon” supercharger list is notoriously unreliable, It would be nice if they decided to make an effort in greater accuracy, but I’ll have to see it to believe it. As of 12/28, there was no activity on construction for Charlotte Pike. Does anyone know if they ever...

Vehicle not going to sleep after 2020.32.3 update

I live in an apartment and I typically go somewhere to steal WiFi so it might be two weeks before I ever get my software update (by which time another update is probably available.) So, is my car never going to sleep? Turning WiFi off all the time doesn’t seem to be an option available.

    Tesla iOS App not working

Having the same problems. Also using AT&T. Don’t think I have the issue when my phone is on WiFi (the car is on cellular always as I’m in an apartment.) I’m able to use TeslaFi from the phone when the App is failing on connection.

Lifetime supercharging changed to pay per use- update

Just looked at mine - “Unlimted Supercharging” is now showing correct for me. Keep in mind it’s not necessarily a website design issue - they have codes attached to VINs that’s determine what features are listed. The website might be displaying the wrong description OR you could be missing the...

Review: Magnetic Power 2 XVIDA Qi Charger - The perfect Model 3 mount?

It doesn't interfere with the lid because it comes out below the lid. The important part is to cut that tiny notch in the top of the plastic sidewall to make sure the cable doesn't keep the trim from reinstalling properly. The other end of the cable comes out the back of the side trim and...

Review: Magnetic Power 2 XVIDA Qi Charger - The perfect Model 3 mount?

To route the cable for the XVIDA charger, I removed the side trip (pops off) and the metal trim below that (screws off). I then reinstalled the trim pieces with the cable underneath it. To not pinch the cable when you put the trim back on, you have to cut a tiny notch in the top of the plastic...

    Supercharger - Nashville, TN

Just charged this morning. Only 4 units have the “Tesla” lit up on top of the charger, so I think they are the only ones working. One of the other 4 I tested definitely didn’t work. I only count 8 total. I got 105KW with 55% battery when I arrived - that seems closer to V2 speeds.

Review: Magnetic Power 2 XVIDA Qi Charger - The perfect Model 3 mount?

I was having trouble with mine, but followed their recommendations and washed mine with warm water. Also, the bolt which holds the arm to the cup was coming loose and needed to make sure that was back in place. Been working well since.

    Can't force a charge at 94%

I am having the same issue. I am no longer able to "top-off" the battery any longer. This problem started sometime after mid August 2019. I can charge to ANY level I want... 95%, 97%, or even 100% but ONLY if I set that charge level the first time. If the car charges to something around 95%...

    Supercharger - Tifton, GA

I can confirm that Tifton is being upgraded from 8 to 10 stalls. They’ve added two more chargers and shifted all the other chargers to make room (the parking lot stripes will need to be redone.) The new back-end equipment still says 135KW so no V3 upgrade for now. Not sure if this project is...

    Supercharger - Alpharetta, GA

IMO, the next place for a northern SC should be the North Georgia Premium Outlets. It's good central location in North Georgia that would help bridge a pretty big gap for anyone who has to travel round trip north without getting anywhere near the existing SC's on 75/85 and are not going as far...

Review: Magnetic Power 2 XVIDA Qi Charger - The perfect Model 3 mount?

My XVIDA suction mount is on the back, upper left of the LCD. I run into that issue with the mount falling off also when it’s very hot, but I find it can be avoided if the A/C is running for a few minutes before you place the weight of your phone on the mount. Since the vents pour cold air...

Backup Camera Contrast Changes are Terrible!

TeslaFi or Not? That is the Question

You can certainly own and enjoy the car fully without it, but if you want to be a Power User then be aware that Tesla’s tools provide zero historical tracking and no ability to schedule actions. Also, anytime you use the native Tesla App to check on the car, you WILL wake the car which WILL...

    $14K Tesla Charger Install

50A service is insanely low. That’s only 40A at 80% which is how it should be designed. My townhome was 125A and that’s not much at all, I thought. Unless you’re in 600 sq ft and have mostly gas appliances (furnace, dryer, water, oven) not sure how you function. I’m skeptical this is...
