Model Y 7 seat config - accessing 3rd row with car seat in the second row?

How are you guys securing the car seat to the car, lower anchors or seat belt? For lower anchors, the maximum weight of the car seat AND child can't exceed 65lbs. For my car seat (Nuna Rava) using lower anchors the manual lists a weight limit of 40lbs for the child. My 4 year old daughter is...

APS in AZ buys back at 12.9 cents

That's the "Saver Choice" plan. Very bad deal if you have solar since the super off peak time is exactly when your solar panels are producing energy so you'll never actually use grid energy at that low rate. The on peak and regular off peak rates for when you will actually use energy from the...

APS customer with solar, plan question

I ran the numbers with a large array and no battery against a smaller array with battery and large array with no battery came out ahead. Batteries are still very expensive and you need to figure in that they'll only last 10yrs. I'd love to have batteries but by the time the savings pays back...

APS customer with solar, plan question

I just had a 12.1kw non-Tesla system installed in APS territory last week. I've been on Saver Choice Plus for a while now. Tesla also made the recommendation to switch to Saver Choice when I was working the process with them. I think in most places in the country a flat rate plan makes sense...

APS in AZ buys back at 12.9 cents

Yes, you need a TOU plan for APS now. Don't get confused between APS buy back of excess electricity vs you buying energy from APS. For example, let's say in a month you sell back to APS 1,700 kwh at 11.6c, comes out to $197 credit on your bill that month. And let's say your energy usage from...

APS in AZ buys back at 12.9 cents

I think APS covers half the valley. We can sell back to the grid at any time for the 11.6c/kwh. Straight bill credit. We buy from the grid depending on the rate plan. Off peak price is less than 11.6c. On peak price price is more. So, by reducing energy usage during solar generation to ensure...

APS in AZ buys back at 12.9 cents

That's exactly my plan, except since I'm going solar now I'll only get 11.6 cents. I did the math and it makes more sense to buy a larger array with no batteries than a smaller array with batteries. Since you really only need batteries to cover the on-peak/demand period when you're not...

    Solar Edge Inverter Extended Warranty

The wording in the contract is a little confusing. It was explained to me that labor is covered for 20 years. Parts are covered for as long as the manufacturer of that part warrants it. For SolarEdge inverter, the warranty is 12 years.

    Solar Edge Inverter Extended Warranty

Which model did you get? Tesla install? Would be nice if SE quoted their extended warranty by model number. Looking at their price sheet I would think the price would be half that.

Reducing noise and keeping the door sills clean

Thanks to everyone for the excellent write ups! I plan to do this mod in the next couple days. Rev-777, just to confirm, did you attach Z seals to the B pillars on BOTH the front and back of the forward part of the rear door? Regarding the P seals on the rears, how did you turn them into D...

Phone and Keycard Locked in Car

To the OP, its definitely a scary situation when transporting kids. My wife accidentally locked her keys/purse and our infant daughter in our other non-Tesla car through a unique series of locks/remote-starts with the fob. We decided since then that no matter which car, when getting out we...

AC performance heavily reduced in AZ heat

Yes! I'm in Phoenix with the same problem. Only started happening after the car was updated to 2018.26.X. What SW are you on? I've noticed that it only happens when the car sits outside all day at work. I'll go a whole weekend of frequent trips and it won't happen at all. Last week I...
