    21" Staggered tires all seasons?

I ordered those yesterday through America's Tire. Today they called and said that the tires are not being manufactured yet and have no confirmed date when they will be. On the bright side they offered to give me the Michelin Super Sports for the same price. America's Tire is the best.

    2013/2014 Model S

I have a 2013 P85+ and I get about 221 miles at 90%. There have been a few issues, but the car has been the best car I've ever owned. I think mid $20s for a Model S is a good deal, provided it's not beat to hell. Any car is going to have problems, but likely most of the common issues have...

    Ludicous?

Plaid powertrain no doubt, but unlikely to have a plaid mode acceleration similar to the ludicrous mode in S/X. It will probably have sport, standard, chill, and tow modes.

    21" Staggered tires all seasons?

Don't forget to divide the warranty in half since they are staggered and can't be rotated.

Unlimited Free Supercharging MS Locked Out of Supercharger Network

As another California attorney (not as long though), I second this. Jumping straight to hiring an attorney is way overkill. I'm sure it's an MCU failure issue.

    Cybertruck staying full size

19'6" i believe. So, if you have a standard 20' garage, just hope your garage door is slim. Luckily I have a stacked 3 car garage so I can spill over into the 3rd car spot if need be.

What is 12v battery replacement cost

I just got mine replaced in Los Angeles area. It was about $280 including tax and everything. The battery itself was listed on the invoice at $160 and roughly $100 for labor. The mobile tech did it in about 30 or 40 minutes.

    Drive unit clunk sound

Mine just started making the clunking noise while in reverse. Generally only when I'm slightly braking and rolling slowly backward. It's definitely coming from the drive unit. Here is a video I captured. I have a mobile appointment on Thursday, I imagine it would be covered under the...

Sold my Model S after 5.5 years...moving on

Where are the Apple superchargers for macbooks? Also, I'm sure the battery in a macbook is a little bit smaller and less expensive than in a car. You're comparing apples (literally) to oranges.

Sold my Model S after 5.5 years...moving on

I get it, it was sweet when I used to see speeds of 375 miles/hr, gone are those days. But in general, I'm good with it. I'm sure Tesla will eventually offer relatively inexpensive battery upgrades. Someone posted a while back that they paid $11k for a replacement 60kw pack through Tesla that...

Sold my Model S after 5.5 years...moving on

The fact is that Tesla never guaranteed any supercharging speeds. They chose to slow down the charging speeds to protect the batteries and make them last longer. I'm good with it, it still charges magnitudes faster than my home charger. Hopefully they will have some of these limitations...

Mysterious high pitched whine in front

It sounds similar to what I get. Although I get the whine when the car is awake and presumably communicating with the mother ship. It goes away after a while when the car finally goes back to sleep.

Sold my Model S after 5.5 years...moving on

The problem is that the batteries are not defective. They won't replace batteries that aren't defective. My original battery pack is running strong, getting about 222 miles at 90%.

[!= Ludicrous Mode, MVPA generated] - Should I walk away?

They would probably leave it if the prior owner changed the badge. I recall going to a Mercedes dealership a long time ago and there was a badged E500 for a great price, turned out it was a rebadged E350. And yes, they will not do ludicrous upgrades, I checked, although that was about a year...

    Snippiness 2.0

I'm sure it would be difficult to convince you that you're wrong, but it's that attitude that makes your statement correct. The faster we all adopt energy efficient vehicles and renewable energy sources the better off we will all be. It may take a while to have a replacement for all vehicles...

Sold my Model S after 5.5 years...moving on

I would think that even if they nerf the charging speeds down a bit on the M3s it won't matter much. Even if they cut it in half, it would still be capable of 125k charging speed. I would cream my shorts if I could get that speed on my car. ;)

Trying to buy my first Tesla, need advice.

I would say if you are considering a P90D I might be inclined to find one of the facelifted ones. Late 2016 is when the new front fascia came out. But then again the price keeps rising. P85D is a solid choice and the performance will be very close to a non-ludicrous P90D.

Trying to buy my first Tesla, need advice.

The + suspension is key in my opinion. I love the way mine handles. I think if you get a P85D before a certain date in 2015 then it will have the + suspension. If you are buying from a private seller, you can always see if they still have the original window sticker which will have the...

I agree, or call it a safety issue. I remember the good old days when Tesla would fix my rattles.

Trying to buy my first Tesla, need advice.

One note on buying the Ludicrous upgrade. I briefly had a late 2016 P90D and the service center said they wouldn't do the ludicrous upgrade. Tesla obviously does some to its own used cars it sells. Why they wouldn't do a ludicrous upgrade for $10k when it probably involves a tech going in and...

Why doesn't Tesla sell an option that fills the "frunk" with a battery for more range

I think he meant 62 grams for all the electrons flowing around the entire internet at any given time.

Why will you need a Cyber Truck?

You'll get to the beach on one charge most likely, but not back. I notice quite stark range differences between the going there and coming back.

2013 Model S 85....12V battery type? Cost of replacement by Tesla?

Had mine replaced a couple weeks ago. Mobile service - total cost with tax $279. The battery itself was listed at $160 on the invoice. Mine is a 2013 P85+, first battery to be replaced at about 63k miles.

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2
