I just did this procedure (without the OP's fancy applicator). I'll need to give it a few days to confirm, but so far so good. The only change I made was, and maybe I have a crappy set of tools, but the T15 works loads better than the T20. It was a little loose, but it bit much better than the...
@DPOWERS14, @MorrisonHiker,
Must have missed this along the way. In tasker, I set up a profile in which 2 conditions are met:
- Car connected via BT
- Phone is powered
A "Car Settings" task is launched when true:
- Lauch Adroid Auto
- Send intent: com.turboled.audiobtplus.ON
So when I dock my...
I've been using the OPT Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine and finish it with Optimum Opti-Seal (both from Amazon). I can do the whole vehicle in easily under an hour, 30 minutes if I rush it. The results are amazing and really look like it's off a show-room floor. I've never had a vehicle look this...
I was considering this, but I don't seem to have any problem with dropping it onto the wired charger (which I'm sure is faster anyway). I see the appeal though, and have bookmarked it for future consideration.
I got this and mounted it to the right of the camera array, at the top of the windshield. I can't see it from the drivers side, and it's pretty subdued from the exterior. It's even less noticeable due to the factory tint at the top of the windshield. I didn't want to mount anything with adhesive...
This has happened to me a few times. It is definitely an issue with the phone key disconnecting. It's odd given the signal was there when I entered the car but not when I sat down? Even so I was able to validate by using the key card while in that state and the car was able to shift normally...
I don't know if I got lucky, but I submitted what I thought was the Bill of Sale, but was just the original order doc. Someone reached out same-day to tell me it was missing. I had to request it directly from Tesla, and again, the really nice woman emailed me to let me know she got it and it was...
I've read a few posts, and experienced it myself (last night in fact) where you get into the car, it's on, but won't shift into gear. The first few times it happened, I got out of the car, locked it, re-entered, and then it worked. I feel like a total goofball having to do that.
When it...
Definitely take it into service. The day I got mine I drove home in a rainstorm. Got water in the trunk. Called the SC and they said they knew what to do and fixed it in a day. In my case, the weather stripping had a mold (shape, not fungus) issue where a seam was left at the top side, creating...
https://fat32-format.en.softonic.com/?ex=BB-527.3
Fat32 Format is a windows app that will let you format any size USB drive to Fat32. I did it with a 64GB card and it worked fine. I don't have the updated car software yet to test, but I assume it will be fine.
I had one, not as abrupt, but going about 70mph on a highway about 8 car lengths ahead of me, a car was basically driving on the line. The car "saw" this and braked -- way more than I would have done, which would have been not at all -- but I saw it as a good thing. Something a...
I didn't have a complete Bill of Sale in my account page, but someone from the state contacted me next day to inform me of the omission and I resent it to them directly (after requesting it from Tesla). She confirmed it was going to be processed today. I'm frankly amazed I got such quick service...
I know when Hold is engaged, it says in the manual, and on-screen, to press the brake pedal again to release it. The thing is I find this counter-intuitive, and it seems much more logical to just depress the accelerator, rather than tapping the brake (risk rolling backwards) then hitting the...
For those that failed, did you get a success notification as well?
I applied mine when I parked for work. I got a notification on my phone that the software update was successful, but you guys are getting me nervous I won't be able to drive home. Fingers crossed.
No state inspection from Devon, at least in my case. Makes sense as they have no way to test for emissions anyway (which there isn't any and that's my point).
Thanks for the reply! I assumed since this is a data-enabled USB port it's trying to simply read the data off the phone, but since the phone can't recognize the handshake, the message appears.
If you know a way to disable this let me know -- I can set the USB mode to charge only, but it reverts...
I can't believe it would be that different between the the Note 8 and Galaxy S9. Sorry for all your trouble. :(
I'm assuming you're using the full version of AudioBT? Do you have "force virtual call" enabled in the settings? There's some troubleshooting settings in there as well. Outside of...
Try this:
Go to the Google App
Click the hamburger menu on the bottom right > Settings
At the top under Google Assistant, click Settings
Under Devices, click Phone > Other Voice Settings, Disable 'Records audio through BT headset if available'
This should force it to use the phone mic instead...
The details are in the XDA link above, but to enable AudioBT from Tasker:
Set action = com.turboled.audiobtplus.ON
Cat = Default
Target = Service
Leave all other options as is. To disable it, same settings, but change ON to OFF
If you can't get it to work, ignore tasker for the moment and just...
I tried, but I basically need to blur out the whole screen to prevent any personal info getting out. That said, it basically shows up like the phone card while you're on a call. It disappears when the audio is done playing.
Does anyone else get this message after a few minutes of having their (Samsung) phone connected to the car dock? I understand why it's happening (I think) but not how to prevent it from happening every time. I tried changing the USB config to charge only in developer settings, but it seems to...
I just wanted to get this posted in case others have similar issues with Bluetooth and a desire to use Android Auto/Google Assistant as part of your drive (announcing messages, voice dictating/replying to texts, etc). I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+ FWIW. Bit of a long post, apologies. Hope this...
So I think I figured out the issue/bug. I want to have my phone read out text messages, and do other voice-assistant things while driving. The issue is I don't want to switch inputs to have to interact with it, so I shut off media streaming in my phones BT settings (so only voice audio goes to...
I first noticed this a few days after I had the car. The call audio would cut out and the music would come back on for a second and then drop out again, allowing me to resume the call. It's basically unusable. Happened again the other day, so I decided to dig deeper.
Here's a video of just the...
