MASTER THREAD: 2019.40.2 - FSD AutoSteer Stop Sign Warning and Adjacent Lane Speeds

+1 I hope Tesla fixes this quickly.... I had come to trust AP for my daily commute as well as toodling about on local freeways, but now I feel I cannot trust it without constant monitoring and - even then - the oscillations can easily destroy confidence as I ask myself "Since it's acting...

This is an interesting look... what is the tire size please? Any other photos of this same car showing the full side view and/or other views?

    Tesla parts/repair - 3 weeks and crickets...

My car was in an accident and needed a new front bumper, driver's side fender, and driver's side door. Plus the shop replaced most of the front driver's suspension components that may have been compromised in the collision. When I dropped it off for repair, I was told that to be patient because...

Vendor MPP Model 3 Build Thread

I've got the +1 19" on mine. I agree the height will probably need some tweaking after the initial setting... but I still think 3/4 or so will be good starting point for me, then maybe lower a tad more if needed :) I put +15mm Blox spacers on my rear wheels only. That plus new 245 tires...

Thanks for the great update! Your car looks fantastic! The drop is dramatic but still tasteful IMHO, and helps me understand that I will likely go with about half of your drop (so, more like 3/4 inch or so for my ride). Also, I like that you made a point of evening out the front-to-back heights...

From 340xi to Tesla dual motor Model 3 - mini comparo.

Great write-up, thanks!! A comment on the auto pilot issue.... when I first picked up my M3 the auto pilot also didn’t work, similarly as you describe. I looked more closely and the car was telling me that AP wasn’t available yet because it was calibrating the sensors first. I forget how long...

Indeed what a coincidence! 2013 for me, too. Yes, Malone stage 2 for me, too haha - programming the tranny at the car meetup was a piece of cake, but for the engine programming, we had to remove the CPU module from the car, and physically pry off the top metal cover (sealed to the plastic body...

A few points related to the tire change.... 1. The reason I switched to the MPS4S for my M3 is that my previous car (alas, the ill-fated VW Jetta TDI that I loved, with extensive re-programming to both the engine and tranny, lowering springs and third-party shocks, aftermarket wheels, etc ...

I agree that relatively small changes to tires can make a significant difference in efficiency based on experience with my M3. So far I have seen the following stats on my LR RWD with 19” wheels: . 3200 mi driven on OE Contis 235-40r19, 42 psi: avg 243 Wh/mi . 630 mi driven on MPS4S 245-40r19...

I am psyched ... and hope to be able to attend, but I also will have a friend in from out of town starting that day. Anyways, I’ll know more early next week and will check back in about my attendance. Can’t wait to get your coil overs and arms on my M3 :)
