Thanks - I did contact Tesla service and they said the $25 spring kit part number DOES include 2 new pins - and they have ordered me a set in. As you have also confirmed - thanks. Will have to co ordinate shipping somehow - as they are 2 hrs away and don’t ship out in their own.

Not a lot of auto shops in my area where I live - was hoping to find the actual part number and order a set online to be delivered.

Hmmmm I’m in need of the specific pins for sure, so if this part number doesn’t have them including - anyone got some better ideas for slider pins part number/availability ?

I’m having a hard time finding part number or availability of a replacement set of front brembo slider pins and metal retainer plate in Ontario Canada for a 2018 model 3 LR. I slightly bent a pin during removal for a brake cleaning this spring (seized in there after 80K and winters) , and next...

Have you tried to actually remove and reinstall a cover on one of the other wheels before ? They don’t come off/on very easily - and not likely to “fall” off if seated properly from normal driving. More than likely wasn’t clipped in all the way - or someone was looking for a spare....

A lot of “action” this afternoon with looks to be Tesla techs.

For example: a model Y 255/45/r19 has a diameter of approx 28” (Think these are stock sizes from tesla) a model 3 with “same 19” rims” come with 245/40/r19 tires (think these are stock sizes from tesla) with a diameter of approx. 26.7” (Edit - Never mind - looks like I’m too slow- see above)

Thanks for the offer. Really no issue until late fall/winter when temps are negative and I can’t run to airport /TO and home on a single charge. I try at the best of times to stay away from malls/SC if at all possible!

Reread the OP description and follow up posts. Rear lifted and front wheels on dollies - so no wheels contacting ground. All good from what I read.

Can you drive car/tire over a small pcs of 2X4 (for example) of the tire needing swapped out to give you enough clearance to get jack under with the pucks?

No sign of any Tesla supercharging install at Canadian tire Kincardine at all (except for what’s on the web !). They have expanded the parking lot this summer - and it’s still fenced in - as lot is only fished to new curbing and gravel compaction (ie no asphalt yet) .

What is your consumption on the actual computer in wh/mile? How far off of the “rated” are you when driving ? Stock 18” aero wheels correct?

Suspect they will release just the high end Y’s at first? They would rather sell a higher markup vehicle with the same battery pack as a base model 3 LR would they not ( if there was demand for both vehicles and battery packs were the limiting factor )?

Does the S not have a small storage in arm rest like the model 3 ? (That is where we keep ours and the charge point card for public charging)

Ski pass thru? check video in thread - @ 5:47 - shows how to get back of cover off - not sure it can be easily completely removed - but enough to maybe wash insitu? best of luck

I had the SAME thing happen today. Car was sitting in 7-10 degrees outside parking lot for 8hrs. Temp on my phone said 36 degrees Celsius ?? (I’m Ontario Canada). My set point in app and car is always 21 - 21.5 degrees C. Never any higher than that. Unfortunatley my wife was using the car...

I think you’d be hard pressed to make a 407km trip with a LR model 3 on that portion of the hwy - as I think is 110km/hr speed limit - especially in the cooler temps - unless you keep it under 80km/hr (unlikely/undesirable).

Like ABS kicking in on a slick road - which is like “just shakes”? Doesn’t need much snow to clog up the crappy all seasons and cause the car to slip/slide when you want it to stop.....

The stock tires are slick in any snow condition - and there is very little regen in those conditions. Not being use to using the brake doesn’t help either. There is probably absolutely nothing wrong with the car. You just don’t have the right tires on yet and an adjusted driving style...

I have same set up also (stock aeros / continental SI’s) terrible loss of regen. Tires were the only thing changed.

thanks - I had I backwards - would want a +35. Understand offset would not have anything to do with the “bulge” of the tire , but would want same outside look as you pointed out. Want this the narrowest rim one can use to at least prevent the “rim rash”?

I don’t think so - as they sell a tire sealant and pump kit - plus run flats would typically be a stiffer sidewall/higher weight tire which on average probably decrease mileage/energy per mile (compared to a high effeciency tire on the area wheels). Could be wrong though! Model S/X/3 Tire...

Picked up ours tonight also in Oakville. Trim on passenger door lifted out. Wipers / controls suck (drove home in rain) Side mirrors pretty poor. Rear visibility not great either. Car looks, handles, power - amazing ! I can so see how a performance model and awd would be awesome on this...
