I just got a Used 2019 X from Tesla and concerned about this. ANyone have this issue on USed cars from Tesla? What year models are generally safe from this? THanks guys.

Getting a lot of false alarms as well. Even me approaching the car activates it. ALso when I turn on climate control as I pre-cool my car before riding. To a point when an alert appears on my car when I get in, i don't really investigate anymore... which misses the point of sentry mode...

Beware for current orders - the new software update for the M3 messed up the power output of the USB ports, I have had to order a different set of USB cables for this to work.

I actually approached my usual body repair guy and he offered to apply the paint from the TEsla paint kit FOR FREE! He said he is interested in learning about how Tesla paints their cars.

Here's the reply I got from Tesla: "Unfortunately, the cosmetic condition of your paint is not covered under warranty considering it was caused by an outside influence. We also recommend hand washing the vehicle due to the water-based paint. I'll copy a section of your New Vehicle Warranty...

That's water drip from me washing the car. I have ordered the paint clip and maybe ask my detailer to apply it for me. Meanwhile, tesla hasn't replied to my email yet.

Well I sent them an email will see what they say. My contention is that this started as a paint defect already that small dot on top of the big one. THat was what I was trying to remove when I did this.

It does a good job of getting stuff off quicker and rinsing off the car quicker. It's like a hose and towel in one. I've seen it done before. Does a great job of foaming and you cna apply the soap much quicker. I know... It's a lesson learned
