done. But.... I don't work so no commute so it's just for driving daily, including weekends. I typically drive alone, but frequently there are 4 of us. My region doesn't require AWD, but I'm a skier so wouldn't be without it.
Fits in the pocket of my favorite running pants (key card and phone don't). Can unlock without walking around to the driver's side (when I'm not carrying my phone). easier to open the frunk (don't have to fish out phone, open app and wait for it to connect to car). It's not much, but enough for...
Yeah, I bought an Apple watch so I didn't always have to carry my phone. Now I have a car that makes me always have to carry my phone (yes, I know I can use the key card. Love having to always have to tap it on the driver's side to unlock).
Well, hopefully it will fit in the pocket of my running pants, and at least I won't have to unlock the driver's side first, and will be able to open the frunk more easily/quickly. Decided to order one just for those reasons.
#1) because the phone doesn't work reliably for everyone.
#2) because I don't want to carry a phone every time I leave the house (guess I'm not a "forward thinker")
#3) because my running clothes don't have pockets large enough for a phone, sometimes not even large enough for the key card, but...
Kind of depends on your situation. In CT, not necessary. In VT driving up a very steep, long, and winding road in a snowstorm... wouldn't want to be without them.
Mt. Kisco will probably wait until the last minute to go to the CT DMV, and then fedex overnight the registration to you. This is what happened to both of my sons. They got their registrations from Mt. Kisco at about day 30/31 after picking up their cars. In my case, I emailed Mt. Kisco at day...
I added it when at the delivery center picking up my car. Wasn't a problem, but re-printing the paperwork took a little extra time. At first they said they'd have to charge $5500 (this was 9/24) but they ended up charging me $5000.
When you pick up your car, you'll get a temporary registration. Mt. Kisco will then go to the CT DMV and register the car, and then they will send you the registration (and plates if you're getting new ones). The temporary registration lasts 30 days. What happened with me, was my car insurance...
When I called Mt Kisco before taking delivery of my car, I just got voice mail for the new vehicle delivery, so I called and chose to be connected to sales. They answered right away and were very helpful :-)
Yes, it's the same. They added eap for mine on the day of delivery.
I didn't realize there was an icon on the stalk, never actually looked at it. Guess I should take a look.
I imagine they had a plan to increase production, they should have been able to foresee, at least somewhat, a need for communication and logistics experts. I guess they're finding out now that the throw everything at the wall and see what sticks approach doesn't work all that well.
Off. I thought I'd want it on to park in our garage, since I have to pull in tightly up to some cabinets, but I was wrong. Off is fine. I used to drive standard transmission cars a lot, so maybe that's why I'm comfortable with it. Didn't take any time to get used to.
It's the one at 115 Mt. Kisco Ave in Mt Kisco. We took 84 west to 684 to the Saw Mill River Parkway. It was a pretty easy drive. The car was washed and waxed. They had people at the parking lot with cleaning stuff to touch up anything. Mine had a couple of smudges on the white seats that they...
Took delivery at Mt. Kisco 9/24. The paper work was done at their showroom and they had a shuttle (a model X) running back and forth to another lot where the cars are. They told me that, if I wanted to look over the car before doing paperwork, to come early to the showroom and I would be...
I actually called to ask about it Thurs 9/20 (delivery 9/24). The person I talked to said they'd add it before delivery, but it turned out they hadn't. At delivery, I just asked the person handling my paperwork. It wasn't a problem to add then, but the delivery paperwork took a little longer...
My window sticker said Model 3 AWD at the top and on the right under as configured it said RWD, blue, black interior. It actually was blue, dual motor, white interior. Very odd.
What it comes down to is that everyone is different and and what I like and don't like in a car may be different from you (speaking as in you all, not anyone in particular here). Personally, I don't want to be isolated from the road, but I don't want every little bump to be jarring. In this...
I drove a Lexus once. Never felt the need (or desire) to do so again. I've always liked small, sporty, nimble cars with no play in the steering. My last two cars were an Audi TTS and an Audi S3. The steering in sport on the Model 3 feels similar to the steering on the stiffest setting on those...
Could be the sticker is wrong. Sticker on mine says, at the top, Model 3 long range AWD, but then on the right under as configured it says RWD, blue, black interior. In reality it's dual motor, blue, white interior. Listed total price is for RWD, not for what I payed. At least they got the color...
Well, if we're talking about German cars being so wonderfully reliable, let's see.... Going way back, had a VW rabbit with paint that chipped off for no reason, also had to be towed into the dealer a number of times for various problems, a BMW 2002 that would easily overheat, couldn't use air...
Delivery yesterday went smoothly. My son picked one up at the same time. Paper work for me took a bit longer, since I decided to add autopilot at the last minute. My car looks good overall except for a paint issue on the hood that I noticed after getting home. You have too look at just the right...
I'm picking up at Mt. Kisco on Monday afternoon (the 24th). Got all my fingers crossed that it goes smoothly.
I ordered blue, AWD, white interior, no EAP, but I've tried out autopilot on my son's and decided to get it after all. I called Mt. Kisco yesterday and they said that they'd move the...
I'm getting AWD, my I delivery advisor told me I had a vin over the phone on 9/4 when we scheduled the delivery (9/24). She emailed me the vin that afternoon. It showed up in the MVPA on the Tesla website last Friday, and showed up under my order number on Monday.
There really doesn't seem to be a pattern. Here's my timeline:
8/25 on website trade turned yellow and asked for pics/info
8/29 first email from IDA giving possible delivery date range and asking me to make sure info is complete
8/30 another email to set up time for a phone call
9/4 phone call...
Only have named one of our cars... a red Toyota Previa which we called the jelly bean. Think I will name the Model 3, though. I think it will be Franklin. Or Gobbler. Not sure yet.
