True, not on 5 or 805 freeways, but pretty close. The San Ysidro SC that's been "coming soon" for years should be closer to the main freeways for Mexican adventures. I've seen some new non-Tesla chargers at the Las Americas Outlets but no sign of anything Tesla as of yet.

Right before you cross over into Tijuana, at the last exit on the 5 Freeway, there are a bunch of places you can buy Mexican insurance for a day, a week or a year for pretty cheap

Also I know from the mall manager at Outlets at the Border in San Ysidro that his mall contacted Tesla about wanting to be a SC location. They are literally right at the border and would be an ideal location to top off before heading to Ensenada

Maybe they should consider the Parkway Plaza mall in El Cajon. They have 4 VOLTA chargers and plenty of parking spaces available
