You do realize SpaceX is a separate, private entity from the publicly-held Tesla Motors, right? SpaceX is not all owned by Elon Musk, either. Lots of venture capital invested in there.
I kinda thought they were shipping them out as well, but later drone shots show they are stockpiling them in Austin. Yesterday's flyover showed ~150 in the area they were previously storing the robot assemblers.
The CT casting building in Austin hasn't even started construction and the 8,000 ton press hasn't been built. Whereas the MY casting building already has 2 of the smaller (6,500 ton?) machines installed. One of them is pumping-out castings that are getting shipped somewhere. Paint shop has a...
Mobile tech just left. Job took 1:10. He retained all settings except for wifi password and phone pairing. He also put on my badge and did the charge door pin replacement.
I had an appointment in Princeton back in April. They didn't have the confirmed loaner for me and there was nowhere to wait, so I told them I would reschedule. I now have a confirmed mobile visit for Tuesday, August 4th. It's been confirmed for 10 days. Just mentioning it because I haven't heard...
I had an appointment there a few weeks ago (FSD computer). I was told they had a loaner for me, but when I showed up they could only offer Uber credits and no option to wait in an office until complete. I had to reschedule.
April 20 - Scheduled mobile appointment for computer upgrade for April 28. I knew it would be changed, but I wanted to see what that process was like. Never heard anything back.
April 27 - I checked the app and it was still scheduled for the 28th, but now it was a service center visit. Fine...
As I posted earlier, I had a similar dent on the crease. Shop got it out with PDR. Mine was further toward the front of the door, so maybe this second piece doesn't extend all the way.
I had a very similar dent in my 3 fixed by a Tesla certified shop. Used PDR and it came out remarkably well. I was very impressed. Cost was ~1600, mostly all labor.
I disagree. The display is clearly showing a portable stop sign. The car does not stop (yet), but is detecting the sign with the cameras. When they move the sign to the other side of the car, the display changes.
Daerik on Youtube did a video on replacing his seats with racing seats. He figured out the electronics as well. Worth watching if you want to do the swap.
Nope. We took our Model 3 from central-NJ to Austin and back in June, 2019 for a wedding. 4400 miles. Lots or free charging at hotels along the way, too!
I had this happen 4 times on my 25 mile commute this AM. Only I was not slowing down. I was at highway speed when TACC just shut down with the red steering wheel icon. Cruise became available around 15-20 seconds later.
Is your seat all the way back? If so, check out Brian's (i1Tesla YouTube) video on the subject from the spring. He is tall and has the seat all the way back. SC never did fix it, but he figured out the issue and fixed it himself.
I got 8.5 last night. Car didn't make any lane changes on its own this morning while on NoA, so I guess I have that turned off. But, when I try to use the stalk to change lanes, it still does the hesitation dance. Been that way since it went to 15.5
I've been charging nightly to 90% for a couple of months. Ever since I saw Kim's video on the subject. Yesterday morning I got the 2019.5.15 update. This morning, I has warning message that said something to the effect that charging beyond my daily usage on a regular basis can degrade the...
Yes. That's why we had such a huge bank these last few years. When the panels were installed, they electric company limited the size of our array to the average usage over the prior 2 years.
Thanks. I used an app to record all my gas purchases on my previous car, so I know exactly what I paid for the past 8 years. I guess I'll need to look at all the numbers.
Thanks for the reply. I'm inclined to agree about the break-even point. It's just killing me to pay an electric bill again after 7 years without one. I'll have to see what happens over the spring/summer to see if I can still build up a bank with my energy provider
I've had solar on my roof since 2012. 11kW system which over produces anywhere between 1500-2000 kWhr per year. Our solar anniversary date with our utility is at the beginning of March and each year they pay out our 'bank' at a piddly rate of maybe .02/ kW. The system is a pre-paid lease from...
Update:
When I left work on Monday, I noticed my door handle was stuck open (way open). Likely the reason the door would not latch easily when I closed it. When I got out of the car that morning, I never looked back at the car.
Had the same thing in central NJ this morning. Unheated garage, but car was out in the weather the previous night when we had a rainstorm. Door handles frozen, but easily breakable. Door would not close until 4 or 5 attempts. Then when I was sitting there getting myself settled, the door popped...
