    EU finalize and deliveries

Just completed the first 10000km with my EU Model S - it's an amazing car.

Why don't use a ferry? As far as I know, there are Ferrys vom Kiel or Warnemünde to Helsinki and Stockholm. When I went from Switzerland to Norway and back, I used the Kiel - Oslo Ferry Service, which saved me about 1600km of driving.

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

I also waited more that a Month for my EVSE1, because of their supplier problems. They seem to be in a similar situation, where their suppliers didn't thought, that they would ramp up production as they did. I talked to the guys from crOhm, when I picked up my EVSE1 and they told me, that they...

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

Yes, mine does actually have Twin Chargers even if Tesla told me a week ago, that it wouldn't have them. I don't know why, but charging limited itself, when I tried yesterday. After a while it went down to 25Amps, where it leveled out. When I tried it again today (see screenshot below), I...

Current differences between US and EU version?

I'm having trouble downloading it, the download stops after 11'774'745 Bytes of 17MB. I tried to download from multiple sites and various IPs. Is this just me, or does someone else also have problems?

I had to reset the spreadsheet to the version from Jul 9, 7:24 AM PT. So the spreadsheet is ok for now, but everybody that entered information between that time and now will have to do it again.

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

In my view there would have been enough space above the type 2 connector, to allow for a small led. It's a pity, if they actually completely relinquished the led. It seems like the hinge had also to be split into two pieces to make more place for the Type 2 inlet. The regular charge port door...

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

Interesting is the "nose", the port has at the middle pin (PE / ground conductor). This is probably to make tesla superchargers "coded" for the Model S. I'm not so sure, but on the image the pins look actually "deeper" so they could provide more surface for the supercharging capability...

    EU finalize and deliveries

I think we should keep two things in mind: The people at the EU customer service in the U.K. are doing a great job and they are working very hard. The reason why they can't give us the information we want as quickly as we want it is because they don't have the resources and the authority to do...

    EU finalize and deliveries

crossposting this from the Model S Delivery Update thread: As I have VIN 14291, does this mean, that my car is also ready and it's going to be shipped to Europe soon?
  13. L

This could mean, that you only get the documents listed after your order has reached a certain status ( assignment of the VIN ? ).

    EU finalize and deliveries

Thanks, but that's not exactly what I meant. My question was, if the timing, when the links appears in the MyTesla-Account is somehow related to the moment, the car enters or finishes manufacturing? I asked this myself after I witnessed the VIN number appear on the MyTesla page and about two...
  15. L

    EU finalize and deliveries

You're probably right. Does somebody know what the "appearance" of the link and the document actually means? Is it somehow related to the status of the manufacturing/delivery process?
  16. L

    EU finalize and deliveries

The documentation links are working for me too. ( EU Sig #14, Switzerland ) A little bit disturbing is, that all the documents seem to be specific for north america. e.g. the "Model S Mobile Connector Guide" only mentions the american plugs. Our CEE plugs and the type 2 connector is nowhere...

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

You're right, I corrected my post accordingly. I meant to say: "There will be no CEE 3x32A EVSE coming with the car".

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

A few days ago I finally received an answer to both of my questions mentioned above: - There will be no CEE 3x32A EVSE coming with the car - 3-Phase charging is maxing out at 3x32A = 22 kW After all this is was what the most of us expected. But it also means, that a) all EU-Model S owners...

    EU finalize and deliveries

EU GP #809 reported his VIN at the german tff-forum.de . He also seemed supprised as he is no sig holder or roadster owner. Maybe the Tesla Factory is batching the EU cars along with the US cars regardless of the seq no or finalizing order. For me as an EU sig reservation holder, who has been...

    2Q 2013 Model S Deliveries Potential Surprise

Actually a swiss member (GP #809) on the german tff-forum.de reported his VIN being: 5YJSA2DNXDFP13888 . The VIN was also entered into the EU Delivery Status List . As far as I know this is the first european reservation holder, who reported getting a VIN assigned.

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

Today, I've got an eMail from Tesla EU with the following content: What I get from that is that there will be no 3x63A (43kW) support and that no CEE 32A EVSE will come with the car. What still bothers me though is, that they're still not explicitly confirming/dening these two...

    2Q 2013 Model S Deliveries Potential Surprise

From what I'm hearing from Tesla it looks like the first deliveries to Europe will be to Norway and Switzerland, because they don't have to ship the battery apart from the car. So there's nothing to be assembled in Tillburg. My guess is, that Norwegian and Swiss cars will go directly from the...

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

Because my Model S should be in my garage very soon (Jun-Jul timeframe), I'm thinking about my charging options. If there will be no 3x32A EVSE coming with the car, I think I will get the mobile version of the crOhm EVSE1M40 to charge my Model S at home and when I'm on a roadtrip. What...

    Has EU production started?

+1 I think that there's a complete communications breakdown between the Tesla headquarters and the EU-customer service. Here's the article: Tesla will ab August in Deutschland verkaufen - Handelsblatt - - - Updated - - - Ok, maybe I'm the only one here, but I would have preferred to get my car substantially earlier, even if that whould have meant, that there are a few minor issues - as long as they don't...

    EU finalize and deliveries

I know how you feel, I had/have the same experiences. After Tesla informed us officially at the Q3 conference call, that they would not be able/willing to keep the "late 2012" target for European deliveries, I decided to buy a smart ED as interim solution until I would get my Model S. Because...

Looks like we have a third Sig #4 now. While the German one is gone, it was replaced by one from Belgium. And now recently a Swiss Sig #4 was added to the list. As Yagi has confirmed his #4 it would be great to know, what happened with the other two. Is either of them here on the forum?

    EU finalize and deliveries

I just called Tesla UK and asked, what the difference between the two statuses ( "Your order has been sent to the Tesla factory" v.s. "Your Model S is under production on the Tesla factory" ) really means. What they told me was a bit surprising: They say it means nothing at all and that both...

    Signature Angst

In Switzerland out VAT is only 8%, but wages and rent is more expensive. Maybe thats why Tesla is charging more in Switzerland. But the bottomline for me is, that the Sig premium is really unfair to the Europeans, who decided to go for a Sig, to get their cars earlier. And now it even...

    Signature Angst

I'll pay $144162 for my (almost) fully loaded Sig Perf+ and delivery is still 3 months away. The only reason, why I opted for a Sig was, to get it earlier. And because GB promised Sigs in Europe for "late 2012" that was ok for me, when I made the reservation. But now, it's almost a year...

    EU finalize and deliveries

Thats, what a Tesla Rep told me, when I visited the Factory in Fremont,CA and the Melo Park Store, about a month ago. The reason for that seems to be, that the batteries and the car are going to be shipped separately because of safety regulations in the shipping industry. And obviously...

    EU finalize and deliveries

That can't be true. I'm EU Sig #14 and my preMVPA shows a Jun/Jul delivery timeframe. The finalize webpage showed "late spring" as my delivery target window, when I hit the submit button. So I'm expecting my car no later than on June 21st, which is the last day of spring. The only thing, that...

    EU finalize and deliveries

They said, that they will deliver Sigs before GPs in each market. So they could reason, that each Country in Europe is a seperate market with different pricing. After all, they have delivered a big number of US GPs before the first European Sigs. Gesendet von meinem Nexus 4 mit Tapatalk 2

    EU finalize and deliveries

Yeah, that may be true. But it could also be, that Tesla is starting with a batch of all Norwegian Sigs + some of the GPs for Norway and then start production for the Rest of Europe. Fact is, that we don't really know because Tesla is still not communcating the VINs to customers and there is...

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

In this Video GeorgeB confirms as first Tesla exec, that there will be a Carside Type-2 Plug on the Model S. (around 1:04) Also volker.berlin posted on the german forum, that he got an eMail from a UK-Tesla-Rep, which says, that we will be able to charge the Model S on a 13A 1 phase...

Europe: Future Charging for Model S 1-phase or 3-phase? (Part 2)

I'm one of those who finalized knowing, that Teslas documents do not reflect what I will probably get. In the MVPA there's no mention of 3-Phase charging and I ordered "twin chargers". However, the fact, that Elon told us at the auto salon and that GeorgeB told us on this Forum, that we will...
