With my BMW that also had negative camber thus suffered from high inside tire wear the tire shop would remove the tire and flip the inside to outside. They were ok doing this as the tires we non-directional. But when I asked about doing this on my MX with 22" they said no as the stock tires...
Tesla texted me today asking if they can come out and check my system and of course I said yes. The Technician was on the phone with someone from Tesla, he poked around the GW and PW. What they saw was that the grid power dropped for a second and when the PW tried to kick in, the PW saw...
My powerwalls started cutting power to my house tonight. It did this several times and when it did it would take several seconds for the power to come back on. I was the only house in my neighborhood to experience this. Normally when I simulate a power outage all I get is maybe a light...
The major reason I went for the 7 seater over the 5 is for the additional air conditioner in the rear. Now that I have the 7 seater it does come in handy when taking my nieces and nephews with me.
Indio is always slow even when I'm the only there. If you can, and depending on where you're going, try to get to Beaumont as they have V3 chargers. For some reason Tesla doesn't always navigate you there so you may have to select it on the map.
If you don't feel confident in repairing yourself there are many small shops that specialize in small repairs like this just check around in your area.
I don't understand people that would accept a 60k car that would require a repaint! OP's car had large blotches where the e-coat was bleeding through. No one should accept that.
It would be great if you can notify NHTSA at File a Vehicle Safety Complaint | Safercar.gov | NHTSA about this. Having these panels ripping off at highway speeds can cause a major incident.
The fob with the dead battery would not resync to the car. The ranger had to hook up a laptop to the car and remove the old fobs. He said that once removed it was easier for him to just give me new fobs then resync the old ones. He also said that the hardest Tesla's to sync a fob to was the...
I went to the SC without an appointment and a SA replaced the batteries. Fob still didn't work and I had to schedule for a ranger to come out and resync them.
Have you replaced a dead key fob battery? It took the ranger almost 2 hours and he give me two new key fobs as he said it was easier than getting the old fobs to sync again!
Seems like the new wall connector is fine for the newer Tesla's but if you have an older one you may want the non-WiFi one. My X can charge at up to 72 amps, but the new charger only handles 48 amps. I have the older wall connector, a referral version, and it will handle up to 80 amps.
When one of my fobs went dead I went to the SC to have the battery replaced and they couldn't get it to work. They scheduled for a ranger to come out to fix the fob. The ranger told me that it can take hours to get a fob to work again so he just give me 2 new ones and de-programed my old fobs.

Looks like 3D MaxPiders is now making mats for the 7 seater with folding seats. Previously I've se them for the non-folding seats.
There was one recent change to the Model X. They have new front seats.

So the 2020 may have the new seats.
Just looked up the Pika and it has UL 9540, UL 1973, UL 1642, CSA 22.2 certs and the Sonnen has UL 9540, UL 1741 (inverter), UL 1973 (batteries), and FCC part 15 Class B.
Thanks, Wasn't aware of the buyouts, seems like the industry is consolidating. Found the Generac's version Generac Power Systems - Portable Generators and Inverter Generators for Camping and Recreation. Looks like the Pika except for the color.
So Generac a company that provides gas...
I'm trying to decide if I should go with a Tesla Powerwall 2 vs other battery systems. Has anyone have experience with either the Pika Harbor 6 (20.3kwh) or Sonnen (20kwh) batteries?

Here's the Energy Sage review of the Hanwha panels. I believe Tesla warranties the panels for 12 years.

You can op for a Lithium-Ion battery but I really don't know if it's any better than the lead acid ones but they sure costs more!

He just texted me when he got there. They said the policy changed 6 months ago and that they only give loaners if it's going to take more than 5 days. But he asked about the Uber credits and they offered him 300 credits as he lives 75 miles from the SC.
My brother called the Van Nuys SC to take his model 3 in for a warranty repair and was told that if he wanted a "loaner" it would cost him $100! When did Tesla start charging for loaners?
I just went into the manage Model X page and I noticed the section has been updated. I like the new look but I don't see an option to purchase the extended warranty any longer. I was thinking of waiting until my car was almost out of warranty to decide whether or not to purchase it. Well seem...
