Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

My thoughts are similar. Any power-train issues should be corrected within the warranty period and hopefully it can make it another 7 years after that! I am a 15 year car person apparently! I think in the coming years there should be no shortage of salvage parts with the number of cars planned...

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

Does anyone have an opinion about how long term maintenance could be after the warranties expire?

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

Found this post when searching for information on one pedal driving. It IS difficult to find relevant information from old threads. Maybe I am bad at using "search"? Can anyone point me to some good threads about one pedal driving for the Model 3? Thanks!

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I've only heard good things about one pedal driving but it's not a feature I've given much thought. It seems too different from my other cars. Is it really that much better? How long do you think it takes to adapt?

I thought Gavyne was exaggerating! Seems not... :)

    Model 3 Comfortable for Someone 5′ 2″?

That's a good suggestion. I don't expect special accommodations though, as they don't have a demand problem!

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

Yes. I think I actually first read about that from a previous post you made! I anticipate 7500+2500+1000 which is 11000 in total tax credits. There's also the 500 for a charger installation (local credit for REU only), I haven't factored that into the lifetime cost yet. Thanks for making...

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

Total cost for me after all credits will be about $50,000. My assumption is that in 15 years it will be worth $10,000. So $40,000 spread over 15 years, or $2667 a year and $2839.5 with electricity added. I expect at least $980 a year in fuel savings. My guess is something equivalent to my...

    Model 3 Comfortable for Someone 5′ 2″?

I requested a test drive on the website, the automated response said that test rides were not yet available for my area and that they would update me when they are. Haven't been contacted yet. I didn't call and talk to anyone, not sure who I would call!

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

Thanks Derek. Did you do a total cost of ownership comparison between the Civic and Model 3? I am not sure how to think about the maintenance on the 3. I am assuming that any issues should be under warranty in the beginning and it should be pretty solid after that. At fault repairs should be...

    Model 3 Comfortable for Someone 5′ 2″?

Hi Az_Rael. I was doing a forum search for "Honda Accord" and saw your old post. I will be coming from a 2003 Accord, and I have been a 5000 miles a year driver so... I think I am around 75k miles now. Has your Model 3 met your reliability expectations? ;)

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! How does it compare for night driving? I think the headlights on my Accord are terrible, and there are reflections from other lights off the interior windshield and cabin.

What was the biggest change for you?

Upgrade from 2003 Honda Accord to a Model 3?

I don't have my Model 3 yet and have not actually driven one. Has anyone here gone from an old Accord (or something similar) to the Model 3? I am very curious to hear what the experience was like for you. My accord is no frills, utilitarian. No side airbags even! Thanks for reading.

    Model 3 Comfortable for Someone 5′ 2″?

Franco: And now, my friend, the first rule of Italian driving: [breaks off the rear-view mirror and throws it away] what's behind me is not important! Can't say that's my driving philosophy!

Thanks. Rear visibility and size adjustments are really my only concerns.

    Model 3 Comfortable for Someone 5′ 2″?

Thanks everyone! Do you think the rear visibility is a nonissue? What driving scenarios is it mostly a problem? I think low speed, especially reverse shouldn't be a problem because of the camera, but what about tailgaters and freeway driving?

    Model 3 Comfortable for Someone 5′ 2″?

Hello everyone. I am 160 miles from the nearest showroom so can't test the car before buying. Do any of you know what it is like for short drivers? I'm just 5′ 2″.

Redding/Shasta County, CA Model 3 Test Drive?

I am only 5′ 2″ and in my experience most cars do not fit me. I can't see over the dash! That probably won't be an issue since the Model 3 has no central instrument cluster and has a low windshield, but I don't know if the seat and steering wheel will adjust comfortably for my size and if it's...

Redding/Shasta County, CA Model 3 Test Drive?

Hi! I am almost ready to place my order for the Model 3 but I have never bought a car without sitting in it first. The nearest test rides available are in Rocklin, CA 160 miles south of Redding. I am anxious driving in areas I don't know, especially busy freeways, so that would be a very tough...
