I didn't have any problems adding a referral code through the Vegas delivery team phone number and the Mt.Kisco delivery personnel at the store, but checking the car on my Tesla.com account, I only see pay-per-use supercharging. I've emailed them about it.

I was on hold with the Vegas Tesla Delivery Team hotline for 2 1/2 hours (!!!) today and never got through. I finally got someone in delivery at Mt. Kisco and gave the referral code. We'll see if it works. Delivery on Friday!

To continue the thread of the recent price drops, the price of mine (configured in May, delivery scheduled 10/26, blue AWD, 19" wheels) also dropped by $1k plus taxes. I didn't call or do anything. So that's nice.

Well, the electrician came as scheduled to install my 100A sub panel and the charging station, and the VIN showed up on the Tesla page! Better yet, it's the same VIN (117xxx) that I was given by the Tesla Delivery Team a couple of weeks ago. Fingers crossed until next week! Reservation 3/31/16...

How did you contact them? I've never gotten a phone number or email address. Someone at the Vegas number only gave me a name today. She said to expect a phone call or email by next Monday...I don't expect one.

Well, I dunno if they're monitoring this forum or what, but I called the Tesla Delivery Team # today and got a VIN! The rep said that I apparently hadn't uploaded my driver's license (I had), or my insurance information (I had), but she cleared it out of the way and set up an appointment for us...

Not sure what you meant by this. I did drive a 2012 Model S for a few days this summer out in Napa, CA. I'm pretty sure I'd really love it! And there are a bunch in New York for $46-49k. If Tesla will let me switch over my $3500 deposit, I'd really consider doing it.

You're also correct about the catch-22, you can't get insurance on a car without a VIN...and it doesn't look like I can progress to the next step of getting a VIN without the car insurance done.
