Why would the instrument cluster even need to be filled with this liquid glue? If it functions without it and looks the same after cleaning it I wonder what the purpose of this liquid is?

my sunshade should be in today. My windows were already tinted when I got the car but I will be going darker with the tint.. The bubbling has gotten 10x worse since the original pic last week and that is with the cabin overheat protection on. I live in Florida where it gets very hot.

wow..not plug and play...I am no where near a Tesla service center and 12 to 1500 is just to much for me to justify for replacing it. I guess I either have to tear it apart and clean it or just live with it until it affects the seeing the gauges.

Yes you were right.. they do open and close when the car is plugged in.. Mine seem to be working but I have never seen them open otherwise. No Idea if I have an issue or not but it seems to me if the car fans are screaming they would be open.

No I did not..I disconnected the battery and the first responder loop as per the directions given by gruber. Then did a reset of the computer when I was all done. The battery error message went away with the reset and so far the car has been fine. My car is a 14 with 78,000 miles now so it was...

As far as resetting the battery goes all I did was reset the computer (hold the two buttons on the steering wheel about 10 seconds) and the error went away after the battery change.

also the first responder loop connector has a red lock on it. To release just pull the side with the red tab and the connector will slide right out. It might help if you have a tiny flat head screw driver

no idea about mobile service..my tesla is out of warranty for this kind of issue. It does have 2 recall notices on it though for other problems.

closest Tesla service near me is about 5.5 to 6 hours :(

No news is good news.. The car will let you know about 3 weeks before failure that the 12V battery needs service. Apparently a hard part to find. My car is a 2014 so the original battery has lasted a good while. I knew it was coming because the car would say a warning message for a few seconds...
