What spare tools should you carry in the MY

Kinda sorta. I'm an emergency medicine physician, it' s in my DNA. I carry a pretty extensive first aid kit for real emergencies :D

What spare tools should you carry in the MY

They should make another "Joe mode" that puts out noise cancellation into the vehicle. LOL

What spare tools should you carry in the MY

You can do a traditional jump of another vehile with your Tesla's 12V battery but not in the normal way. You could connnect your 12V and let it let it sit and charge their battery slowly. If you try to start the other vehicle while connected then you can fry your car. A better way is to...

Is FSD worth to buy now for Model Y ?

This goes for any software update you pay for including acceleration updates. Tesla will never honor them I knew a vehicle if you have to replace it and your insurance company will not cover it if it is not included in the VIN

Is FSD worth to buy now for Model Y ?

I caution you that no matter what software features you pay for, Tesla will never honor it if you have to replace your vehicle and your insurance company will never cover it.
  9. P

Is FSD worth to buy now for Model Y ?

And paying for this feature your insurance company will not consider it in your settlement it will poof be gone. And Tesla will demand you pay again.

Is FSD worth to buy now for Model Y ?

I thought that by buying full selfdriving early I would help toward for the developments but Tesla basically screwed me and all they care about is money. It's all about the Benjamins.
  11. P

Is FSD worth to buy now for Model Y ?

No not really. When my Tesla Model 3 performance got totaled and I lost my full self-driving, when I talked to Tesla about replacing my vehicle they said that I would have to pay for full self driving again. I used to think that we were partners with Tesla and we were working for a better...

Has anyone who got the 2-4 week text gotten a VIN/delivery scheduled?

Remember that their first priority is their end quarter results and not what you as a customer desire or need. They do not care whether you get your Tesla or not I only care what their figures look like.
  13. P

Has anyone who got the 2-4 week text gotten a VIN/delivery scheduled?

Remember that you as a customer are not important. End of quarter results are more important.

What glue to use for fixing the light thing?

Why are you accepting defects in a $60k car like it was out of warranty? It's brand new vehicle that is losing hue amounts of value and it's not perfect? Force Tesla to make it perfect. You deserve no less.
  15. P

What glue to use for fixing the light thing?

Since it's under warranty, I'd say Tesla-brand Service Center glue.
  16. P

Has anyone who got the 2-4 week text gotten a VIN/delivery scheduled?

I go the automated text that my Tesla Model Y was being manufactured in the next 7 days about 2 days ago. My rep said there is still no VIN number or expected delivery date.
  17. P

How do you contact your customer rep?

You don't. They will call you when they get around to it. I've had a Model Y on pre-order, my Model 3 Performance got totaled, so without a esla right now. The rep supposedly texts me but hen I reply they don't reply to me. I call the service center near me (1.5 hours away) where I will...

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

I still think a bottle of Colt 45 is ideal, wedges perfectly in the wheel, it's heavy, is a perfect refreshment while driving in AP, and when you crash it'll spill malt liquor all over you thus ensuing you're blamed for the crash (DUI) rather than Tesla's autopilot.

Model 3 taken in Dwi case

What were you taking/smoking/injecting or drinking when you got stopped?
  21. P

    Oh Deer.

Nah, you'd still hit a flaming carcass. At least your have a steak dinner while you wait for a tow truck. The only time Emergency Breaking had ever engaged for me is just before an overpass trying to avoid a phantom vehicle aka a shadow.
  22. P

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

No need to add more complexity, drivers are responsible for driving the car, it's a driver assist system only. Period. You can't fix stupid, if the driver is careless no matter the situation then they are responsible for what happens. If you defeat the nags then, IMHO, you should have the book...

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

I try both depending on the situation, yes come to me seems to work better but still not there yet. Hopeful this will be really useful someday.

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

I try it every day and it's getting worse or at best no better than it was before, it's barely useable.
  25. P

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

Exactly, we paid closer to $8000 if memory serves me right where you had to pay for enhanced autopilot separately for$5000 ( l if I remember right) then FSD was $3000 more on top of that, still best vehicle I ever had. I paid $3000 more than some people who got FSD and EAP for $5000, Elon said...

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

I'm one of them that paid full price in 2018 at delivery waiting for it to happen, don't get me started on the whole you'll get early access slow lol.

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

You're all taking this way too seriously, it was a joke. Geeze.
  28. P

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

Yes there is, purchase FSD, park your car in a garage for two years (plugged in of course), don't use it, come back after those two years, presto... No more nags.

Well the Model 3 handle kinda retracts, more like pivots manually.

When will be the Tesla NEMA 14-50 Adapter restock?

I have this adapter and it works pretty well, it automatically sets the proper amperage to 24 amps or 80% of 30 amps and takes care of the special wiring for you all in one unit without any adapter cables, plus it also has the temperature sensor in the end of the plug like all of the other Tesla...

When will be the Tesla NEMA 14-50 Adapter restock?

FYI for those planning to charge at a RV Park... TT-30R (the older RV plug you find at RV parks, 30A 120V) to NEMA 14-50 DO NOT WORK! They aren't wired correctly for a Tesla. You have to buy a converter cable specifically wired for charging Tesla vehicles. The RV adapters double the single...

Touch screen control for wipers is dangerous

Good points, why not just set the speed yourself when merging? Honestly it's no different than other vehicles I've driven where you just had a couple constant seeds you can set, just turn automatic off. Of course the controls are different than a standard car, they're on the screen but easily...

Touch screen control for wipers is dangerous

IMHO if the controls of a vehicle are too difficult for you to understand or to use, then you either need a different car or shouldn't be driving in first place. I've had no issues with the wipers or changing them for current conditions, they aren't dangerous if you know how to use them. If you...

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

I've been watching this thread for a while, even made a couple jokes about using a heavy bottle of Colt 45 to defeat the nag. I drive long distances all the time, almost 60,000 miles, in my Tesla Model 3. I do agree that having to continuously torque the wheel can be very tiresome and even make...

Service center experience: trading my 3 in for a Mercedes

My experience at two different service centers is that in Pittsburg they always have an old AP1 Model S loaner which works fine but not fully loaded, would have loved to try a model x but always the same old model s. In Orlando there are no loaners available, only Uber credits.

How many of you still carry keys?

I store my keys on that hook in my backpack that I never used before until I got a Model 3. More room in my pocket and I never misplace my keys!

Dang, I wish I could hit the pause button in this movie theater. I need to run to the bathroom and to the lobby to get some popcorn.

Any hack to remove the autopilot nag?

I find a bottle of Colt 45 not only makes the drive more enjoyable, it weighs down the steering wheel pretty well.

Wifi turns off when in drive

Should definitely be an option. On some Android phones it'll quickly change to cellular if the wifi is unstable, perhaps they could do something like that or do a VPN and combine wifi and cellular like SpeediFi does and untile both connections for a rock solid connection. When I travel I use a...

I think I just wasted $7,000 on FSD?

Autopark I agree doesn't work that well. Auto Lane change is great, a recent update made it work really fast instead of the slow change previously. Plus you can turn off the need to confirm the Lane change if you want. Summon has gotten a lot better but they got a ways to go from a simple...

I think I just wasted $7,000 on FSD?

Just to be clear, you're using Autopilot or perhaps navigate on Autopilot but not FSD . Only Elon and Tesla test vehicles can use FSD at this point.

Who Has The Highest Mileage 3?

Granted, about a dozen or more of those charges were in the dead of night with me sleeping and the car charging to 100% so that'll hurt the charge rate average. I typically try to arrive at 10% and leave by 65%-70% or thereabouts so that I can charge at the fastest rate. But the average is the...

Who Has The Highest Mileage 3?

Per Teslafi my battery degredation is 3.42% with a full charge rated at 300.53 miles (Tesla Model 3 Performance, 310 miles when new), I supercharge a lot but do charge at home and hotels regularly over 58,917 miles. I charge to 90% nightly, occasionally to 100% if going on trip, I try to arrive...

Who Has The Highest Mileage 3?

I'm still on the original 20" Performance summer tires though I do swap in the winter to 19" snow tires. The snow tires are about worn out at the end of this season and the summer ones will need to be replaced after this summer season.
