    TPMS sensor not reset

Just to reiterate, I had all four of them replaced just a few days ago. They are all brand spanking new. None of them are registering.

    TPMS sensor not reset

My TPMS sensors were not registering on my Model S. I went to Discount Tires and they told me that they were bad. So I had all four of them replaced and they said within 20 minutes they should start registering. It’s been two days now and nothing. Anybody have any ideas?

Model S leaking glue under touchscreen

Exactly right. Rubbing alcohol works like a charm. You probably already have it in a cabinet at home. No need for other cleaning solutions.

    Is this normal?

Thanks @Tronguy. Very helpful. I’ll experiment a bit and see how we fare.

    Is this normal?

Gotcha. Had around 120 miles (probably around 50%) when I started the SC. Needed to charge up for a long trip.

    Is this normal?

How do you determine the state of charge?
  8. B

    Is this normal?

I did not navigate to the SC as it’s in my neighborhood. But trust me, I’ve charged in way colder conditions than this. I’ve never seen pathetic numbers like this.

    Is this normal?

Been online for two months. It’s 50 degrees and sunny. Something ls not right here.

    Is this normal?

I’m at a brand new 15-bay Supercharger and my 2013 Model S is the only car there. I’ve heard that Tesla has severely throttled back the charging capacity on older Teslas but this seems extreme. 24 kW? At a Supercharger? Come on! Anyone have any insight on what might be happening here?

    Supercharger - Jonesboro, AR

It’s definitely up and running. Seven stalls. Charged successfully yesterday.

You need to go to the DMV personally. I did it. Happy to say my personalized plates are back on my car.

Gen 2 High Power Wall Charger for sale

Hey Barry, I am in the suburbs of Chicago. I'll try to take some photos when I get home. No blemishes that I can recall, but it's honestly been sitting in a box for a long time, so I'll be sure to inspect! Where are you located?

Gen 2 High Power Wall Charger for sale

I have a Gen 2 HPWC for sale. Only used it for a short time but upgraded to the Gen 3 when we bought a new Tesla. Still have the original box as well. Black faceplate, green LED charging indicator and the longer cord (the Gen 3's have eliminated several inches from the cord). $400 firm.

Looking for gen 1 HPWC 80 AMP dual charger.

I've got one as well. If you're still in the market, please PM me.

In Illinois you can't have vanity or personalized plates if you own an electric car :-(

Went to the DMV today and got it all handled. They processed the app, no fee was collected, and said I should have new sticker arriving in the mail in a few weeks.

In Illinois you can't have vanity or personalized plates if you own an electric car :-(

Good news! It appears Illinois has done an about-face and as of January 1, 2022, we can get our personalized plates back. See the letter below from the Secretary of State with the appropriate number to call. Here are the details as I understand them: First (and shocking for those of us who live...

    V 11 for legacy Model S

I feel guilty for asking this question because I know the answer has to have been covered in this forum but i just can’t seem to find it. So please give me an umbrella of grace here, but is it safe to assume that older Model S owners are not going to get V 11? I have a 2013 and keep hoping...

Who here is going to lose 3G Connectivity - Feb 2022 when it sunsets?

@Akikiki, thanks for the additional perspective. I know that what you're saying is intrinsically right. I have no doubt the system will run smoother (screen redraws on MC1 are no fun), look cooler, and bring the car up to the more modern standard. I think it's more of a principle thing with me...

Who here is going to lose 3G Connectivity - Feb 2022 when it sunsets?

I actually received a notice a couple weeks ago on my screen reminding me of that sunset and encouraging me to schedule a SC appointment. My first instinct was to go ahead and just upgrade to MC2 for $1500 (I have a 2013 with no autopilot, so it’s cheaper). I felt like that was a price I was...

Update removed Sirius/XM selection from infotainment screen

None of the remedies mentioned worked for me. Tesla told me they were working on a firmware update but couldn't tell me when it would be delivered. I simply got in the car, went to the local service center without an appointment, they slotted me in, and now XM is back. Done.

Update removed Sirius/XM selection from infotainment screen

I read all the previous posts, struck out with the rebooting/power off thing, and texted Tesla Support. The guy said they were aware of the issue and told me that they would have an update sent to my car in the next few days that will fix it. I'll let you know if it worked!

@Threader, good call! Turns out there was a nestled folder buried in there and there were duplicates galore in there. Once I removed it, the dupes went away.

Finally got my Blackvue mounted and working.

If anyone is in the market for one of these, I have a brand new, never-been-opened BackVue DR900x 2-channel (so it covers front and back) and also has LTE built in so that the camera can store events in the cloud. This is their top of the line model that just came out. Retail ranges from...

    USB Music Duplicates

I have the weirdest situation manifesting on my USB music library. I have been using a Samsung USB drive that has been fantastic. Not long ago, I wanted to back up my music library to my laptop, and I noticed that when I plugged the USB back into my Tesla, nearly all of the songs on my USB are...

USB thumb drives no longer recognized

I have the same exact issue. Contacted Tesla this morning through their chat support and they had me do a couple of resets, which did nothing. Not sure about you, rrodby, but mine definitely stopped woking after the latest software update to my 2013 MS. The two events are most certainly...

Anyone been seeing an increase in Loading Errors with streaming?

Nope. Still having the same problem with HTTPS streams. Went back and forth with TuneIn tech folks. They said it's definitely Tesla's media player/browser. Sigh ...

    TuneIn Radio “Loading Error”

Tune In Loading Error Diagnosed and Workaround

I'm having that issue as well, especially with some podcasts. I contacted the tech folks at TuneIn and they said that the problem is that the particular podcasts that I want to listen to are using an HTTPS secure streaming URL. Apparently, Tesla's browsers can't handle it. They recommended that...

    Best Dashcam for Model S

Great info here. The IRO sounds intriguing, but everyone keeps mentioning AP1 and AP2. I have an older MS that doesn’t have AP. Will the IROs not work on non-AP Teslas?

    Swapping out USB ports

Actually, I need to get into the USB area, which is right underneath the arrmest. It really has nothing to do with the center console, in my case. In fact, I don't even have a center console. See photo below.

I'm replacing the USB ports on my 2013 Model S because one of my ports is broken. Sounds reasonable. Now the big question is .... why does absolutely no one who works for the company know this? That scares me!
