Model 3 EarthX ETX900 Battery base 3-d print

Did you ever manage to get this posted to thiniverse? Also, did you have to buy charging posts for the battery to properly attach? My ETX900 doesn't have any posts that come with it.

P3D+/P3D- Owners: Do You Ever Use Chill Mode?

Just tried chill mode for the first time in probably a year. Much better than I remember but I didn't really see any improvement in whm. I got about 280whm but I can easily get that or much better when I drive conservatively in Sport mode. I've gotten as low as 190whm in Sport mode.

P3D+/P3D- Owners: Do You Ever Use Chill Mode?

I've tried chill mode once and it honestly felt unsafe, especially when trying to get on the freeway. I just kept mashing the peddle wanting more power. I figure it's safer to learn how to properly throttle the car manually at full power than to wreck it because i couldn't give it enough juice...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

The firmware in both versions of P3D (Stealth and PUP) are identical. The stealth will display a message when first activating Track mode warning of certain wear and tear that the stock brakes aren't designed for. That's it though.

Best Bang for Buck Model 3

Also note that the actual 0-60 is a bit faster than Tesla reports. Some folks have measured 2.9s and may be better in the future after more updates and/or with aftermarket upgrades.

Best Bang for Buck Model 3

P3D Stealth owner here. I bought the stealth when the P3D was first available. I chose it because I didn't think the wheels/spoiler were worth the added cost and it was unclear that there were any differences in the brakes. I've since upgraded to MPP rotors and pads, 19" forged wheels/PS4 tires...

Model 3 performance new 18 inch wheel option now avail 7/15/19

I had the aero wheels ony P3D when I first got it. I've since replaced the wheels with 19" forged Titan7s. The ride quality was fine. Very comfortable but noticeably squishy around corners. But with better tires that wouldn't be a problem.

Thinking about joining legal action on recent massive price cut

Spoken like a true person of means whom has never struggled to make ends meet. The vast majority of people can't afford to buy a car outright because they don't have that much in savings. If you're the kind of person that lives in your car because you have a 1-1.5hr commute a luxury electric...

Thinking about joining legal action on recent massive price cut

Buyers remorse can occur any time there is price instability in a market. It doesn't matter how stretched a person is. If I buy a tank of gas for $80 and the price drops to $40 people don't think gas has somehow changed or improved. But even with products that go through rapid advancement. If...

Thinking about joining legal action on recent massive price cut

So any company that now uses technology (software or hardware) is now automatically a tech company and not whatever industry they sell in? Does that mean Charles Schwabb isn't a stock broker because they use AI? Is the White House a tech company because the President uses Twitter?

Feature request -- USB audio from phone

Mp3s drop all frequencies lower than 30hz and higher than 16khz. This means low bass is gone from the track. The compression also tends to blend other frequencies together creating missing sounds at various parts. It's all supposed to be "imperceptible" of course unless you'd used to listening...

    P3D+ owners - lifetime whms?

So after multiple months with my new 19" wheels, PS4 tires and two track days over 8600 miles I'm now sitting at 307whm since Feb. It must be mostly due to the tires as my wheels are lighter weight than the stock aeros and I dont think two track days would substantially increase my usage.

For 3.5k you can upgrade the stealth brakes to better than PUP. Mountain Pass offers a great BBK using the stock calipers for under 3k (front and rear). Racing Brake BBK can be had for under 3k to just upgrade the fronts and includes a 6-piston caliper.

Model 3 performance new 18 inch wheel option now avail 7/15/19

True suspension and spoioer are a consideration. I think the spoiler less so but suspension definitely is factor. Although as I understand it the stock suspension on PUP isn't significant enough to be impactful as most are seeking aftermarket options. I'll be upgrading to the MPP sport...

Not exactly. I have the stealth and replaced the rotors (2k), brake lines (155), pads (300) and 19" forged wheels/tires (3k). Installation for everything cost me $400. So we're talking lesa than 6k total. Now you could argue I should have bought the PUP but here's why my set up is better. +...

  30. caskater47

Model 3 performance new 18 inch wheel option now avail 7/15/19

It's a pretty simple choice. If you are going to track the car then the Performance Package with larger brakes and 20" wheels is worth it. However you'll still want to replace the wheels and rotors with better stuff if you'll be having repeated track days. If you aren't going to track the car...

  32. caskater47

    FEELING SCAMMED BY TESLA

Not factoring in tax change no. My car was 64k invoice for a P3d-. Today the standard P3D+ is $55k. So if I had bought PUP Id be sittting at a 16k loss. I don't typically consider tax incentives because not everyone can take them and my loan is based on full price, not tax benefits.

    FEELING SCAMMED BY TESLA

Yea. My car is $11,000 cheaper today than when I took delivery last September. For the exact same car. I did take the 5k refund offered but that still leaves $6k additional in lost value.

Two things I want to do about my 20” P3D wheels

There are lots of 18/19 forged wheel options these days. The forum is littered with them. I got a set of forged Titan7 TS-5 19" wheels with Pilot Sport 4S tires. I love them.

    P3D+ vs P3D-

Anyone else find it interesting that the P3D+ listed here explicitly states Track Mode as an exclusive feature? That really does make the P3d- nothing but a software unlock. It also contradicts public statements made by Musk and Co over the last six months where P3d- and P3D+ are all but equal...

    FEELING SCAMMED BY TESLA

Did you take the $5k refund they offered to early P3D buyers? Doing so revokes your unlimited supercharging. If not, why didn't you take the refund? You're not likely to spend $5k in supercharging for the entire life of the car.

    Petition: AWD to P3-

I'm a P3d- owner that has replaced my rotors, brakes pads, brake lines and wheels. I have handily beat many P3D+ cars on the track. My 0-60 times are faster than stock (thanks to lightweight forged wheels mainly). My car was physically identical to an AWD save for the P software when I took...

If Tesla is a safer car, why the insurance cost does not reflect that?

When I got my P3D last August I had Allstate. They wanted to double my premiums. I switched to Geico where the Tesla costs less to ensure than my wife's Acura MDX.

need new tires - should I get ps4s for my aero wheels or upgrade to 20"?

As many have mentioned the 20" wheels from Tesla are a bad deal. Your better off going with à forged 19" set with the PS4s. It'll cost less, get better range and give you a better ride.

Tesla On Autopilot Slams Into Stalled Car

It's an assumption based on a reasonable and educated guess based upon the average cost of a Tesla and the ability of those who can afford it. Even if not true this still a group that introduces additional variables that can't be ruled out as not having a bias.

Tesla On Autopilot Slams Into Stalled Car

You're still missing the point. Tesla cars and owners are not representative of a sufficiently random and diverse group to be considered a quality sample for a statistical study. Tesla On Autopilot Slams Into Stalled Car

You do realize that those stats are incredibly biased right? It's biased for the following reasons : 1. There are significantly fewer Tesla's on the road compared to other cars 2. Those buying a Tesla are a very specific demographic that is statistically more likely to be a good or safe driver...

How honest are you about Tesla issues when speaking to friends/family that want to buy a Tesla?

How honest are you about Tesla issues when speaking to friends/family that want to buy a Tesla?

I tend to be brutally honest with people. That is I tell them it's an amazing machine with an equal amount of terrible customer service behind it. That the price instability is so bad that the car has the worst devaluation rate of any other car ever made. I tell them it's like shopping at Frys...
