    Water Intrusion in Frunk

While I've had a very smooth 2.5 months with my Y (64XXX VIN), I've noticed that after a heavy rain or using the self-serve car wash, my frunk has a noticeable amount of water in it. I haven't kept anything stored in there and it's easy to wipe the water up with towels, but it still feels like...

No FSD/EAP and got my 48.26 update last night - about two hours after I had received the update to 48.12.1.

Any Possible Model Y Update Info?

My takeaway from the video was that everything but the double paned windows happened prior to the 63xxx VIN. I know I've seen earlier posts re the tail light changes and the buttons on the doors. I also think there were threads on added noise insulation and the heat pump modification. So, my...

    New Jersey Waiting Room

Got a text from my SA today that the car is on its way to Chicago and that we're still on track for a delivery sometime next week.

    New Jersey Waiting Room

Got my VIN yesterday and got a call today from my Cherry Hill SA - was told "very tentatively" to expect delivery the first week in November (they will have a firmer date once the car arrives in Chicago and said I should expect to hear from them a couple of times between now and delivery). Great...

    Got My 2021 VIN!

Ordered 9/13- and just got my VIN! 64xxx. Very excited. Hoping for an early November delivery in Cherry HIll, NJ. Is that reasonable based on typical VIN to delivery?

    New Jersey Waiting Room

Just got my VIN in the last hour - woohoo! 64xxx. No text, etc. yet - hopefully will hear about a delivery date soon! My guess is still early November.

    New Jersey Waiting Room

Went into Cherry Hill today to check on things. No specific insights (recap - ordered 9/13 and no VIN yet for my MSM/Black/20s) but the SA did mention that a lot of cars are scheduled to arrive in the third week of November. That said, he mentioned I could match sooner.

    New Jersey Waiting Room

When I went into the SC, they looked up my reservation (and added a friend as a referral). They said that his best guess based on "what he's seeing" is that I would match for a VIN by the end of October and have the car in early November. The SA said he can see things on the backend to arrive at...

    New Jersey Waiting Room

Ordered 9/13 for Cherry Hill - No VIN and total silence. To be fair, I went into the SC two weeks ago and they said I should expect the car early November but I feel like others in the area ordered after me and are getting their cars sooner. No huge deal - just testing my patience!

    Got My 2021 VIN!

Seeing a lot of cars getting VINs - especially on the East Coast. Casual observation: I think almost all have 19" Gemini wheels. Maybe the 20s are delayed. I ordered a LR with 20s on 9/13 to NJ - still no VIN.

    Need for screen protector?

Just noticed they're on sale on Evannex for $10 (from $20). Wonder if this relates to the (rumored) tweaked design of the 2021 Model 3 screen - not changing size, but different bezel etc.

    220v 30 amp - Advice, Charging Times

I think you're right, jeffbco re the dryer! Anyhow, got a second opinion and the electrician (who is highly reputable/been in business in my area for decades) said it's no problem to do a "twin" off of another circuit and he can get me 240 v/50 a (so about 30 mph). Pretty psyched. About $800...

    220v 30 amp - Advice, Charging Times

Thanks so much, guys. This is all really, really helpful. Update: So, of course this couldn't be easy - taking a closer look at my dryer ..it's 120v! My electrician and I came up with the shared circuit idea after he was back outside (we both just assumed the dryer was the typical 240 - but...

    220v 30 amp - Advice, Charging Times

I live in a house with a 100 amp service and an old panel. My electrician said that he could install a 220v/30 amp outlet that taps into my dryer outlet (or whatever the appropriate term is) on the other side of the house. I couldn't use both at the same time, but that's not a big issue since I...

    New Jersey Waiting Room

Placed an order for an LR AWD- MSM/Black - 20s (no tow hitch/no fsd) on 9/13 - quoted 6-10 weeks. Leasing app/all materials and insurance uploaded within a week. Stopped by the Cherry Hill SC this past weekend to check on things. They said I should have VIN "sometime later this month" and that...

    Delivery Now 7-11 Weeks

So, I was planning to get a Model Y towards the end of the year - I don't want it sooner. It feels like I should order now, but if delivery estimates fall back down to a shorter time period, will I be able to delay my delivery until December?

    Thinking of selling....Oh My

Sold mine in May for similar reasons and no regrets. In addition to cutting the monthly payment, I live in the city and also saved having a $400 per month garage payment and $200 per month insurance payment. Made a little money on it/possibly a wash depending how you factor in the tax credit. I...

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

Resurrecting this post given the confirmation of future subscription-based FSD. I wonder whether they will have a basic autopilot tier available or perhaps just 'gift" autopilot to those without so they can standardize the subscription service a bit more. Wishful thinking perhaps, but I like the...

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

Very interested in this topic (started a few threads myself :)). I think there were some good points re the fact that some non-AP owners have cars that are now 2-3 years old and would rather spend $3k at trade in time (whenever that may be) as opposed to purchasing AP at full freight. Like...

Supercharging every 7-10 days as primary charging method: throttled after 1.5 years?

Hi - I have had my Model 3 LR AWD since October 2018. I live in an urban area without access to home charging. I drive about 700-800 miles a month and recharge to 80 percent at one of a few nearby superchargers (usually with about 20-30% range left) every 7-10 days. I occasionally charge at a...

Model 3 -Help- My parking garage moved vehicle with dollies - How to check for damage?

Thanks - that sounds like what he described - and they had to move other cars as well, so guessing this is how they would do it. I just went back downstairs and double checked for visible damage - the car is so dirty it's hard to see if they did any cosmetic damage from pushing, etc. but should...

Model 3 -Help- My parking garage moved vehicle with dollies - How to check for damage?

Came back from a few days away and my car had been moved about 20 feet back into another spot so they could do structural work on the underground garage that I park in at my condo. They'd been doing work for a while in other parts of the garage but never told me I had to move my car from my...

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

As someone who posted a similar thread before, I understand OP's perspective. That said, it doesn't need to be free- and I understand the myriad responses that take issue with that. That said, I think there are a few ideas worth consideration: 1. If every 3 had AP , there would be fewer software...

Speculators speculate! Monthly subscription for Autopilot eventually?

Just to clarify, there's no hardware difference between the cars that came with standard autopilot (approx march 2019 onward) vs the cars sold prior to that, which can upgrade to AP (and FSD) by an over-the-air (paid) software update.

Speculators speculate! Monthly subscription for Autopilot eventually?

Resurrecting this post (I'm not the OP) in light of today's announcement re a subscription model for premium connectivity. There are plenty of threads about that, but I thought it might be fun to re-open the conversation as to whether Tesla might now consider a subscription option for autopilot...

How will I know if my "order" went through?

I'm intrigued, so I figured I'd put down the $100 refundable deposit and see where this goes. I got the notice of the pending charge on my card immediately, but then the tesla page just kept trying to reload multiple times. When that stopped, it just returned to the original cybertruck page - no...

    Buy AutoPilot now...or Wait?

I wonder if today's announcement that all loaner cars will have AP will impact this in some way. This seems to be further confirmation that Tesla believes all of their cars should be experienced only with AP (in some way a tacit acknowledgement that all cars that are capable of running AP should...

    Buy AutoPilot now...or Wait?

I'm hoping for another AP sale maybe to boost Q4 revenue - it's pure profit. At the very least, I'd like another trial with discounted pricing. I think $1,500 is the magic number for what essentially amounts to distance-keeping cruise control. I'd also love for them to price some of the FSD...

Self-serve or Touchless Car Wash in Philly or South Jersey

With some creative googling, I stumbled upon Sudzy Car Wash in Delran, NJ - less than 20 minutes from Center City. Went today and its a nice self-serve wash with newer equipment (each bay has its own credit card reader - first time I've seen that). Very pleased and will go back there for sure.

Self-serve or Touchless Car Wash in Philly or South Jersey

For several reasons, I prefer to wash my car by hand or would use a touchless car wash. Unfortunately, I live in a condo with no access to a hose, etc. Are there ANY self-serve car washes or touchless car washes within 30 minutes of Center City Philly? I only know of the one in Roxborough on...

Model 3 LR - No AP

Much of my typical driving doesn't lend itself to autopilot, so I didn't get it either. If there's another sale at $1,500-$2,000 I'm in. However, my theory is that in all likelihood, I'll trade my car into Tesla for another one in 3 years or so. By that point, I think basic autopilot will...

Those with EnhancedAP to receive 3k discount on FSD

Interesting. That would mean that EAP is considered a $3k credit toward FSD...which begs the question, how about a $1,500 AP upgrade for non AP-equipped cars with the option to upgrade to FSD for another $4,500 down the road (or whatever the new, high price is less $1500). Didn't bite at the $2k...

Totally Flat Tire - No Visible Damage?!

Yeah - hoping it's not a bent rim (and didn't hit any major potholes)- but looking online, the rim seems to be $370ish - is that right? Not much more money than the tire ($290 plus installation).

Totally Flat Tire - No Visible Damage?!

So, I got my second flat tire in two weeks (different tires). Tire was completely flat when I got in the car (didn't realize it until I drove a few feet - TPMS didn't indicate anything just read "----" but heard an odd noise. Anyhow, Tesla roadside came out and replaced my tire with a loaner...

Two flats in two weeks - and no TPM warning on one of them

I get it - but other car manufacturers seem to warn of low tire pressure at start up. I don't need a full accounting of the psi in each wheel, but for such a smart car, this seems like something that should be standard (it is standard in my mom's Altima). Separately, I can't imagine walking...

Two flats in two weeks - and no TPM warning on one of them

Interesting - and I think I have seen other cars require some driving before it calibrates (but BMWs tell you at start up if you have low tire pressure - often a bit too sensitive in cold weather). That said, you would think that on a car this advanced that they'd develop a sensor that would be...

Two flats in two weeks - and no TPM warning on one of them

Not fun: Episode 1 - Picked up a nail in the rear passenger near the outer tread two weeks ago. Long story short, TPM warned me and pressure dropped quickly. Safely pulled over and Tesla emergency service dispatched a third party towing company with a loaner wheel. Had my tire replaced a week...

    Flat tire day

Thanks - Yes - I'm a costco member - but online, it doesn't look like they have my exact tires or even all season tires that would fit. Also, they'd only put a warranty on the tire they sold me. I was hoping to find a general road hazard warranty that would cover all four tires like the one at...

    Flat tire day

I guess I'm part of the flat tire day club now too. Hit a nail on the way to work - tire pressure started dropping like crazy. Managed to pull over safely at around 10 psi. Called Tesla support and they sent an independent tow truck with a loaner wheel within an hour. The tow truck driver said...

    Supercharger - Marlton, NJ

Just got back from here: Pros: Seems to be very fast. Didn't track the specifics, but charged my 3 LR AWD from 130 range to 230 range in 30 minutes. Great place to walk around, etc. Cons: The ICEing is REAL. 3 spots were filled with ICE - no real reason for it - tons of other, better spots...

Owners with No AP - Thoughts/Plans/Speculation on What Happens Next

Just to re-center all of this, I wasn't intending this to debate/complain about price fluctuations - I think we're all making peace with that in our own ways (and if not, there are plenty of other threads to hash that out). What I guess I'm trying to do is speculate about what "offer" comes next...

Owners with No AP - Thoughts/Plans/Speculation on What Happens Next

This isn't a complaint. It's not that deep. And, at this point, I'd argue that comparison to ICE car dealers is also irrelevant. Tesla can't even be benchmarked against earlier versions of itself, let alone an ICE dealer. The bottom line is change with Tesla is constant - and trying to predict...

Owners with No AP - Thoughts/Plans/Speculation on What Happens Next

When I ordered my car in October, I think EAP was $5000 - didn't seem worth the price but really liked it during the trial. I contemplated the $2,000 AP offer last month but ultimately passed. Now AP is "free" for all new cars (and the post-purchase add-on is now $3k instead of $4k) - I can't...
