    front camera fog frustration

I have had this issue since our first winter (2018/19) and still dealing with it today. Did you happen to find a solution? Debating drilling small holes through the cover...

Things my wife said about Navigate on Autopilot tonight

Haven't read through all 10 pages, but my wife and kids feel the same as OP's wife. That said, on highways during trips I can get away with it if I put the car in Chill mode and reduce the steering feel as well. It's not perfect, but massive improvement vs the jerkiness otherwise experienced. If...

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

You'll be fine. According to the press release if you had the car on order you'll still receive the $5k. Give it a read... quite possible your owner advisor missed the fine print.

    Mirrors losing position more often

I'm still on 16.2 and aside from an issue yesterday my mirrors have been consistent the past couple of months. Previously it was a problem. On the other hand, the seat memory positioning has been poor since I received the car...

    SR+: Vancouver to Whistler trip

As was mentioned by others, you'll use very little charge even in the dead of winter getting from Whistler to Squamish. Charging at the free spots is a fiasco - if you absolutely need to, there is the supercharger at the fairmont, but parking ain't cheap. One other thing to note, autopilot...

    SR+: Vancouver to Whistler trip

We made the round-trip regularly from East Van in the winter in our LR RWD. Leaving with 90% in the morning, typically returning with around 15% depending on driving style and temps. I can't see you having any issues with doing it on a single charge this time of year, but in the winter, plan on...

Vancouver (GVRD) - Ceramic Coat & Tint

Yep, which is why I went with 70%. Can't tell from the outside, but makes a massive difference inside.

Vancouver (GVRD) - Ceramic Coat & Tint

I just had front windshield and sides @ 70% and rear sides and full rear glass @ 35%. Xpel Ceramic $850 all in at infinity glass on clark. Another day or so for the film to cure but it looks fabulous. Massive difference in the sun today on the heat transfer. Wish I had done this months ago prior...

Contact the owner advisor, the salesperson who assisted you. It may take a week to show up. This happened to me as well, after a couple phone calls it was resolved.

    Model 3 Windshield Replacement Vancouver

Tesla brings the glass, JF does the install at Tesla - at least that's what happened for me. They worked on my moonroof earlier this year after it cracked on the 99. It sat at Tesla for nearly 10 days as they batched a few install jobs. But, they gave me a loaner the whole time.

Is it worth getting FSD in Canada?

Have you had a free trial? If you haven't, you will receive one. Like others have said, FSD / EAP are neutered compared to American equivalents and at some point it will be cheaper, especially if you're thinking of upgrading after purchase.

    Vancouver to vancouver (via Lillooet)

I haven't checked on it since I actually got my 3, but last summer we stayed at the Fairmont and the spots were well underutilized. I'm sure in the summer you wouldn't have a problem since the hotel will rarely be at capacity - save for perhaps Crankworks.

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

There was a major push in the fall by the dealers as well. I chatted with Dueck on a Bolt at the time and their sales pitch was that the rebate was ending, so get on it. 2 weeks later, CEV was re-funded and he was happy to "negotiate". And then we bought a Model 3, ha! I'd be surprised if the...

EAP to FSD cost in canada

They raised it to lower again for a sale... Doubt it will be as cheap as the fire sale, but I'm sure it will be somewhere between. Seems they've had price drops timed to 3 different events - quarter / year ends, debt repayments and US rebate reductions.

    Car purchase dilemma

Something that hasn't been mentioned, you should get credit on your trade-in for the taxes as well. So that is one plus vs selling privately. I would also expect a brand new BMW to experience something similar to a 40% depreciation over the next 2-3 years as well. At least with the MS / M3...

    A good time to buy?

Hasn't been mentioned in this post, and I'm sure you're aware - but if you're looking for the best "deal" - remember to check on demo units, floor models, etc. Also, needs to be stated, pricing has been all over the show. Better off buying something that you can afford and enjoying it vs...

    BC and (new) Referral Program

No, it was my only purchase and I was his only referral. In fact when we were test driving, the sales advisor was actively pushing the free 6 months - and this was all done in Vancouver. If there was a BC resident exclusion policy, they certainly weren't enforcing it. But, this was late October...

I received my Model 3 in November and both I and the referrer received 6 months free charging and we're both in Vancouver.

Model 3 Price Reduction. Feeling robbed!

The only issue I've had with the price changes relates to one group of pre-March buyers getting 50% off AP & FSD, so that it equates to the price of EAP and the EAP pre-March buyers having to pay more for FSD. I completely agree that Tesla was smart to drop the price of the software to throw a...

2019 Feb order, with MVPA: New - Previous service/demo vehicle with 100 km

Mine came with 20km and had been a return - autopilot was accidentally left enabled and we found some change in the back seat... Car was great condition and had a month free of AP! There were some imperfections and scratches, service center took care of everything. And you'll still get the $5k...

    Standard Range Price Increase!

Still think LR RWD is the best buy since range will always be king. And after a winter with the RWD, don't regret passing on AWD whatsoever. Just get good tires! Which you'd have to do with AWD anyway... would've preferred standard AP to EAP, but holding out hope summon, etc. will be useful in...

Model 3 FSD Upgrade Price is $4,000CAD

Yah, I'm more concerned on being stuck with 2.5 hardware. Think I'll wait to see reviews on advantages of 3.0. While I really enjoy EAP, it does fail a little more often then it should to the point where my wife doesn't trust it beyond stop and go traffic. For those of you in Ontario, I thought...

Model 3 Price Reduction. Feeling robbed!

Yah, I see that now. EAP apparently is to be grandfathered in, so if it's been purchased, won't be losing NOA, Summon, etc.

Additional Range in a new LR RWD Model 3?

Apparently there will be an increase in range and power pushed out to all M3's presume through upcoming OTA.

Model 3 Price Reduction. Feeling robbed!

Robbed twice if you happen to also purchase EAP... pretty crap for only having a car for a couple months. Really think early adopters deserve to be treated better than this. What I learned, do not support this company with new models. I can't believe how shitty we've been treated.

Dashcam gets updated with side camera recording capabilities

    Nav on Autopilot- Vancouver

This. I found the same issue driving to California and back over the holidays as well. Nav on Autopilot is helpful for suggestions and reminders but I'd never follow it blindly. Frankly I've found the NAV directions in general in the M3 to be only about 90% trustworthy. Frequently finding slower...

Help. Winter energy consumption and range.

Similar experiences as well. What has improved short drives significantly is having the battery charging immediately prior to departing. Cold battery will reduce regen which makes the shorter travel sting even more. Lots of posts around on this given the season. Ideally pre-heat the cabin and...

Sea Sucker Roof Rack and Cargo Box in the cold

For another data point - I picked up a gently used SeaSucker Board rack vs the Monkey Bars the OP has used and they work fabulously for box / ski rack mounting as well. They've been around a bit longer than the Monkey Bars so might have better luck if you're looking for a cheaper alternative...

Sea Sucker Roof Rack and Cargo Box in the cold

I don't have the post handy, not sure if it was in this forum, Tesla's or another, but a guy had a seasucker bike rack mounted on an M3 to the rear window and it cracked under the vacuum cup. Folks were commenting that it was due to being on the rear window. May have been a freak accident, glass...

Sea Sucker Roof Rack and Cargo Box in the cold

Ok, so the rear set is actually on the back window. Makes sense keeping the box level, only concern was putting pressure on the rear glass given some others experience. Thanks for the reply!

Sea Sucker Roof Rack and Cargo Box in the cold

OP - what are your mount points for the monkey bars? More or less where the glass etched arrows are?

Sea Sucker Roof Rack and Cargo Box in the cold

SeaSucker is having a Holiday sale, 15% off site-wide. I've been watching them and waiting for Tesla's supposed branded roof rack. If you can't wait until spring (if that even holds true), looks like the best time to buy the Monkey Bars. I just did!
