Anyone been able to use Pirelli Scorpion Mileage Warranty?

Wow. That is crazy. My understanding is that for the asymmetrical tires. The warranty is half or something like that because you can’t rotate them, but it could be specific to the Toyo proxies I had at some point. I don’t remember anymore. Also, I thought for these warranties they prorated...

Peeling Yoke warranty replacement - updated materials?

Very useful post, thank you very much for all the people that contributed. Mine has been peeling for about a half a year and I’ve been waiting for this new revised yolk which I heard would be available in March but honestly, I forgot about it. I guess we do get to learn to live with the...

    Supercharger - Mahwah, NJ

This is VERY exciting. Great spot. Seems ridiculously convenient heading south on 17 and reasonable heading north. Excellent for connecting the nyc area to upstate. And looks like a quick check is right there? Another KEY question. Are there ccs adapters for the common folk to hog?

    Supercharger - Brooklyn, NY

I think I saw somewhere that this particular location is one of the few in the country where if you stay for more than 80% of charge you’ll have to pay separate fees. Which I think is excellent idea!!! Take away the CCS adapter magic is another excellent idea for this particular location...

They use it bc they have no choice. It’s is a VERY unpleasant experience. Hot as hell in summers. No AC at stations and the ones in the subway cars don’t work well. Crime infested by violent thugs. Very very dirty. Rats and vomit and urine infested.

That’s very silly logic. Teslas can be cheaper than comparable gasoline cars. Having a Tesla does not equate to wealth. Not even close. Yes maybe the model s or x as they are pricier but not the much much more common model 3 or y. Those cars with federal and state incentives as well as...

    Supercharger - Brooklyn, NY

Nail on head! NYC is VERY hypocritical. You can’t have gas stoves bc planet is dying but we won’t spend a penny on ev chargers. lol. The silly thing is it won’t even cost them a penny bc Tesla is MORE than willing to pay for everything. Just give them the space. And nyc has PLENTY of space...

Tesla is a private company can do what they want. TLC use is against Tesla’s terms and conditions. Tesla can easily block access to superchargers if they detect “suspicious activity” and then have the owner prove that the car is not a TLC car with a simple picture of their license plate. TLC...

Tesla has ALL the data. They know exactly what’s going on. This was actually one of the reasons other car companies were hesitant jumping in bed with Tesla for charging until they saw they had absolutely no choice. It’s the data. Just like google and Facebook now. The data is where the money...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

You do make some very valid points

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

Very detailed analysis, big Earl. My car definitely has a heat pump given that it’s a 2022, and when I enable the climate keeper through the app, I don’t think there is a way to do it Manuel as you don’t have many options. I cannot imagine that the car computer heated the car from a 39°...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

So as you could see in the previous post, I did kind of tested. Now I’m not an engineer so I don’t know exactly how these things work, but is it possible that it is not running heat but running the maximum cooling of the car and it is just that the HVAC capabilities of this unit in this car only...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

So for further follow up for those people on here, who are eagerly awaiting a rigorously tested scientific answer… External temperature was 35 per the car, internal temperature was 39°. I turned it on the LO setting at 9:40 PM took another screenshot at 9:45 PM and then one more at 9:50 PM...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

How do you know this? I find it very weird for it to run AC when on LO setting even if the car internal temp is near freezing? Or will it just not run anything?

    Safety restraint system fault - RCM2 a492

I had this issue on my 2022 model X about eight months ago, which was about three or four months after I got it. The mobile technician came over check it out says basically he can’t get more details. Like which seat it is or which location in the car and needs to go to a service center. I kind...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

Thank you for detailed reply. The case with the 10 cases of wine was in the driveway of my mother’s home, worst case scenario, I would’ve had to transfer the cases into the house, which I obviously did not want to. The use of my Tesla as a refrigerator with groceries is a quite common one in...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

My monthlong roadtrip is tomorrow and unfortunately the temps are too high by me now to test it. I will be in freezing temps tomorrow night. HOPEFULLY at a destination charger. In either scenario will test. I guess I’ll take the case of wine and see how it goes. Worst case will use some extra...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

Ty. I’m not THAT worried about charge. But the idea is If I set climate on LOW in freezing temps what temp would it keep the car at roughly? I’ll have wine and other liquids in the car and don’t want it to freeze overnight. Setting climate on at the lowest exact temp, which I think is 62 or...

Using climate keeper to prevent freezing of liquids in car overnight

Thank you. But no. Cabin overheat is separate and kicks in at high temps. 90-100 so lcd in car and other items don’t melt. Climate keeper is meant for any temp. Where you set it and it keeps that temp in car. I use it in summer all the time for few hours here and there and in winter also...

Model X ski storage solution for traveling.

When researching storing skis in a model X I have not come across this, but wanted to share it as I think it is super useful. Problem. Don’t want to hitch. Stuffed car with 3-4 adults and baby seat so no folding seats. Solution. Smaller skis across under back seats. Longer skis front to back...

    Self Built Spare Tire Compartment

It’s modern spare. They have own site also same price. I got the one with tools. No carrying case. It bothers me how expensive it is but it really looks and feels well made. Definitely not an “MIC” feel. Also again having reviews on Amazon is important for me. And honestly I would be VERY...

Useful thread. I just got a modern spare for 2022 Mx. fits very nicely the same as other guys pic. Very painful to spend $550 including shipping. But it’s the only company that has a lot of reviews on Amazon. Making it less chance that it won’t work well.

Superchargers on the NJ Turnpike (speculation, discussion)

Superchargers on the NJ Turnpike (speculation, discussion)

On your last sentence.. Fat chance. Tesla had to bribe nj by paying not only for tesla installs but for wiring for the non tesla installs. That's the point way they let tesla build. But honestly it's the best advertising for tesla. My dad sits and charges his crap ev at 75kw for a really...

    Safety restraint system fault

So tech here. He says mine showed drivers seat in their logs. My warning was not specific. So baby seat not the issue. I do remember I was cleaning car and moved my seat into extreme front and up position. Idk he still working on it. But says if deep reset doesn't fix I gotta bring it in.

Totally disagree. I grew up in nyc. There are MANY options if the city or the state REALLY cared. NYS thruway all the way upto Canada and all the way west from Albany to Buffalo has many rest stops. ZERO chargers, except some very limited slow chargers. Contrast that to nj, with MANY rest stops...

Just because it had it doesn't mean it still uses. I think they shut it off. I THINK the way to tell is max speed of AP at 85 vs 90 previously. AP and not just cruise, cruise still goes to 90. Also the lowest distance without radar is still 2 I think. I could be WAY off though.
