I do feel like it’s still on their radar because of Elon’s recently email stating the manufacturing cost is currently $38k. That seems to be quite a long way off but I’m jooong they’ll consider the PUP and EAP profit potential as well. I’m guessing they have an idea of general % that adds EAP.

I wonder how much of the profit margin is eaten up by shipping overseas. I’m hoping they open up orders for reservation holders once it makes sense economically for them to make them available.

How many members here think that Tesla will create efficiencies necessary to release a Standard Range Premium Interior Model 3 by End of June?

This is a great point. Although EAP is what I’m truly looking forward to. Which EVs with similar range should I be looking for?

I’m going to be honest. I had some unforeseen circumstances that are forcing me to postpone delivery of my model three until next year. This means I will lose at least half of the tax credit. Is there a chance that waiting longer will lead to receiving better hardware for EAP and FSD?

Unfortunately, something financial that is out of my control came up. I’m incredibly bummed (and I’ll ultimately spend more of my own money with the tax credit loss) but I have to wait for 6 months. I’m sick over it. Although I will be able to save more for EAP.

Do you think I’ll be able to get a “SR” with PUP in the first quarter next year? I want PUP and EAP for $45k.

So maybe we're better off waiting for the SR. We may lose a portion of the tax credit but we can get PUP and EAP for $10K vs. $15K with the MR. And perhaps they'll have the electronics piece sorted out.

I want SR PUP for sure. Hoping it releases early next year.

Is it possible that we’ll see a SR Premium Interior for $40k before the 4-6 month timeframe that the website is showing for the SR? Or do we think the only SR available in 4-6 months will be the PUP at $40k?

That’s why it’s probably better to only take your configuration vs taking one that is randomly available. I was wondering about that. Like why was this rejected? Needless to say - it will likely be several months until I get a 3 now.

Funny. For some it’s about what they want to spend for a car with EAP etc...many can afford a lot of things they they choose not to purchase. Many people here are trying to be smart with money vs being cheap. Many of them will still probably buy a Tesla. It’s not really the credit at this...

You can be damned sure I’ll be asking for free EAP if I don’t take delivery by end of year. They’re still stating December delivery on the site regardless of interior spec.

People wouldn't need to speculate if they had ANY information. Why not publish configuration build dates by week? At least the rep would be able to give an estimate over which 3 week period your car would be estimated to be built.

I think you’re right. CS is all over the place. I had one of them tell me to not change.

I agree. This won’t be the case forever. Although, even if I took delivery I would expect them to fix the issues during an appointment. I can’t imagine that would be cheap for them.

Considering the white interior is available for order (without any notes of different timing), this makes me feel a bit better.

I’m going to wait another week or two before seriously considering a change from white interior to black. I like the look of the white so I may just roll the dice altogether.
