    310 Wh/mi - X plaid

just want to say i’m super impressed. 4000 miles so far- up and down mountains, road trips, around town, some “plaid runs”. My 2018 X 75D was 375 Wh/mi. Kudos on Tesla for making the car faster, longer range, and much more efficient.

brand new X - won't charge - shows "Charging Equipment Communication Error"

Oct 2023 build Model X Plaid here -- tonight, also had the same communication error when using our new Rivian mobile EVSE. The EVSE works perfectly fine with our Rivian and 2018 Model X, however once I plug in the new X it's no go -- the app says no power, the car says communication error...

Upgrade to X from Y for young family?

Had 2 kids (2 and 4 YO) when I bought my 2018 X 6 seater, and now have 3 kids (1.5, 6 and 9 YO) and just bought another 2023 X Plaid (yes to take advantage of FSD transfer) -- while keeping the 2018. Also had a 2020 Model Y leased which we just returned. So had plenty of time to compare and...

How well does phone key work compared to the old key fob?

i’m quite the opposite - going from a 2018 to 2023 MX, I HAD to get a keyfob for the new car. So many times i’m carrying a toddler in one hand, or my older kids are running towards the car and it’s so much easier to just reach in my pocket, feel for the falcon door, double press and voila! so...

    Undecided...

had a non-plaid loaner for a few days and thought it was plenty fast… until I got my car back and oh my, the pedal responsiveness is so ridiculous! i did get a speeding ticket 2 weeks in .. so be careful out there.

    Undecided...

just picked up my plaid, and i’ll rarely full send 1000 hp, but it’s the extra responsiveness from 20-40 mph, or 30-60mph, that mid-throttle extra oooomph that makes it worth it. plus the red calipers and the carbon trim makes it a little more special.
