Tesla paid only $42 million for the Fremont factory, they just paid more than twice that for the land alone in Texas. Tesla paid only $42 million for Nummi plant Being able to buy a shuttered factory was advantageous at the time and certainly Tesla has made full use of the proximity to tech...

Well, ask yourself why Lucid is in AZ, Nikola (yeah yeah) is going to build in AZ, Tesla built their Gigafactory in NV and is now threatening to move out of CA... the whole point is to not be in CA.

That is an impressive achievement and it shows where the state of the art is going. As electric vehicles start consistently getting over 400 miles or real world range the advantage of the supercharger network will diminish somewhat, but people will always need a way to charge and I can't...

It is time for a quick update from the US's renewable energy capital, Texas. "The ERCOT grid operator that serves most of Texas has completed full interconnection studies for 58 solar projects totaling 11.9 GW of capacity so far this year. The completed studies will allow project developers to...

I agree that Tesla may stand to gain from a Biden presidency, but I am sick of hearing about how we have to vote for an obvious loser because, "OMG the other side!" Scare tactics just don't move me anymore.

If the S&P wants Tesla to issue more shares I hope Elon tells them to take a hike. They will have to include TSLA eventually unless they want to change what the S&P500 represents and everyone knows it. Q3 will be profitable, likely highly profitable, and Q4 is likely to be still stronger...

That really is embarrassing. People need to stop treating the media as if they were more than they are. Very few of them have any more information or insight than the guy on the bar stool next to you.

My personal guess is that there is a growing awareness of the potential of Tesla's energy business. I know people here are divided on just how much range is "enough" for an EV. My personal opinion is that with a range of approximately ~430 miles (EPA) the Model 3 would be about as high as it would need to go. My current Model 3 LR is perfectly sufficient for regional road trips with 1 or...

It is sad that he killed himself, but it sounds like that was just the last bad decision in a long string of bad decisions.
