Model 3 Traffic Aware Cruise/Autopilot touchscreen controls

I haven't seen anyone mention this so I thought I would post my observations on the Model 3 TAC/Autopilot touchscreen controls. When the touchscreen shows a speed limit sign, if you tap on the sign in the touchscreen display, the TAC speed will adjust to the speed limit on the sign (plus any...

Supercharger Speculation - The Village at Totem Lake (Possible Tesla retail store location???)

I noticed on the Tesla Supercharging map that there is a proposed location for Kirkland, WA - Totem Lake, that is to be installed by the end of 2018. I have a strong suspicion it will be at The Village at Totem Lake - the new shopping area that is going in where the old Totem Lake Mall was. It...

Tesla Semi - Jerome Guillan back to head it!

Looks like Jerome is back to head Tesla Semi! It's great to have you back at Tesla Jerome! Tesla tapped former Model S Program Director and Daimler’s Cascadia GM to lead ‘Tesla Semi’ -EDIT - I found the chatter over at the 'Thank You Jerome' thread about this. I'm a bit behind the times as...

    Model X 2015 Owner's Manual

Just picked up VIN # 575. Was given an electronic version of the owners manual. It will be outdated once I get version 7.1 of the software. I just started reading the manual and it's a great resource for any current and prospective Model X owners. Enjoy! Dropbox - Model X Owner's Manual...

2nd Row middle seat arm rest/table for outside seat passengers

I was surprised to see this video demonstrating that built into the middle seat in the 2nd row there is an arm rest/shelf for the outside seat passengers. I don't think I've seen any mention of it in the various seat threads: 2016 Tesla Model X: Interior - YouTube Go to about 1:11 in the...

    Model X Sound System

I was at the Model X delivery event and took a test ride in the car. The driver was careful to point out Tesla has put a lot of effort into the audio system based on feedback from Model S owners. I sat in the 2nd row and was very impressed with the audio system during the brief ride. The...

United States based Model S internet connection working in Canada now (Dec 2014)

I just took a road trip over the weekend to Vancouver B.C. Much to my surprise, the 3G internet connection in my Model S worked perfectly fine in Canada. On my previous trips, once I crossed the border, the car would lose it's internet connection as it lost it's U.S. cell connection. I know...

How do you erase a GPS location for auto air suspension change?

I like the feature for auto raising, lowering the air suspension based on GPS location, but once you input a location, is there a way to erase the location so the car will no longer change ride height at that location?

Weak sound system mid-bass and bass levels after opening and closing door?

I wanted to see if anyone else out there is experiencing what I think I'm experiencing. I have the original Studio Sound system and I've also done a few after market upgrades with the Audio system in my car. What I notice is that on occasion the bass and mid-bass of the system seem to really...

Redmond to Portland and back power use and Supercharging data

I have taken a couple of trips to Seattle to Portland and back and thought I'd post here so those interested can have a rough sense about rated range use and Supercharging data on the drive there and back. I drove a P85 car with 21" Continental tires, running version 4.5 software and I'm...

    New Rear Seatbelt Slot Design

I was driving a Service loaner this week (brand new 60kWh car) and noticed that the rear seatbelt slots have been redesigned. Tesla keeps making small tweaks to the car to make it better and address issues. The rear seatbelts worked perfectly (no grabbing or overly sensitive locking up).

Supercharger in Weaverville, NC? According to PlugShare, yes!

I was browsing around the PlugShare map last night and did a filter on Tesla Supercharging stations. I was quite surprised to see that a Supercharger came up at the SteaknShake in Weaverville, NC! I checked Tesla's website and did some searches in the internet and found nothing referencing a...

    Seattle to Portland and back

Going to take the Model S to Portland this weekend. Leaving from the Kirkland area and will do a straight shot down to Portland on Saturday via I-5. I'll do my best to monitor power usage and charging stops. I know the trip will be much different once Tesla gets a Supercharger on the I-5...

Suspension mellows with age? (Ride seems smoother after 2100 miles of driving)

We've had our car for about 2 months now (VIN #532). When we first received it, I was a bit disappointed with how firm the ride felt compared with the amazing ride I remembered in the Get Amped and store test drive cars. Don't get me wrong, our car rode great, but it just didn't seem to soak...

SAE announces the 'official' charging plug standard for North America

FYI - This Is Officially How You'll Be Fueling Your Car In The Future The article is pretty thin on details, but I'm sure poking around the internet will pull up the specs on this plug. I personally think it is pretty ugly from a looks standpoint, but that's highly subjective. The article...
