I have this issue on 10.8.1. It consistently got worse for weeks. I did the 12V and High Voltage disconnect trick to turn the car completely off and that has solved the issue so far.

Downloading on M3 midrange in Hawaii. Got in last week.

I lose may rear camera feed with FSD after going through Car washes. Disconnecting the 12v system or deep sleeping the car will fix the issue.

Can't find any 3rd party filters yet, but the Tesla service center can order them for $30 for the pair. They said they won't regularly stock them until the 2 yr mark comes around for the first model 3s. If you want them installed, labor is $30.

The IRS website says "enter date when vehicle placed in the service", which sounds subjective to me. Technically owning the vehicle and having a receipt from Tesla could fall within that definition. For $3750, it may be worth it to try, especially if your tax returns are otherwise immaculate.

So the question is can you theoretically place the vehicle in service by registering before you physically receive the car. If so would Tesla try to accommodate this in December.
