Wifi turns off when in drive

You don't need to root your phone to set up a quick access tile to make manual toggling easier. But yes, in order to automate it with Tasker you do need to be rooted.

just set your relative speed offset to -20. as long as you aren't going more than 20mph below the speed limit, engaging AP will match yor current speed.

    Autopilot bug with lane change

No, much more explicit. To use your example: Say you wanted promote a new resort that you are building in Hawaii, and want to place footage of your existing Fiji resort in the Hawaii section of your page to generate interest. Even if the beginning of the video clearly says Fiji, you had better...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

FTR I am not, and never was, ignoring or denying that the video explicitly refers to EAP. It does. It always has. It just isn't the slam dunk that you seem to think it is. I am also not denying that the video does not explicitly refer to any other package. But by definition, it cannot...
  19. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

If the video stood on its own, I would agree with you. However, it is being presented as part of the description of package B. As such, any deviations between the contents of the video and the actual capabilities of package B need to be explicitly declared. If they use footage of Fiji in a...
  20. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Incorrect. Not explicitly representing AP functions is not the same thing as explicitly not representing AP functions. You can grasp that, right? Explicitly stating that the demonstration applies to the EAP package is not an explicit statement that it does not apply to other packages. It's...
  21. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Keep telling yourself that. It doesn't matter "why" the information provided in that section misrepresents the package described in that section. It only matters the customers seeking information from the manufacturer are making purchasing decisions based (in part) on that misrepresentation...
  22. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

You've agreed that the information included in a section of the site rewritten to describe the features of the new package does not accurately represent those features. The "why" is irrelevant. We're done here. You skipped this part.
  23. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

So a section of the site dedicated to the sole purpose of describing the features of the new package contains a video that does not accurately represent the features of the new package. Got it. Q. E. D. So far so good! EAP contained TACC & AS AP contains TACC & AS. If Tesla wants to...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

That overview includes some options that are explicitly limited to FSD, and some that aren't . It doesn't clarify one way or the other
  25. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

OK. Would you agree that the contents of that specific section of the page are intended to describe features of the Autopilot package? So you're arguing #3 According to the Autopilot section, TACC and Autosteer are Autopilot functions. Autosteer functions are describe in detail in the owners...
  26. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Seriously? OK, if the video isn't about autopilot what function does it serve in a section that is dedicated solely to Autopilot? Why is it there? I honestly don't follow your meaning. Are you arguing that TACC and Autosteer are not available to buyers of the recent AP package because they...
  27. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Let's put it this way: Would it be fair to say that the video's inclusion in the section dedicated to Autopilot misrepresents the functions currently included in Autopilot? It's the most current document. Ah, but it's not a matter of whether TACC and Autosteer are features or EAP and or AP...
  28. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

I never said that there's no indication that it's about EAP. I said that inclusion of it in the updated Autopilot section means that it is also about Autopilot. EVERYTHING in the section dedicated to Autopilot applies to Autopilot, unless they clearly state otherwise. They didn't. Actually...
  29. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

I honestly have no idea what is so hard to understand. The video is in an updated section that is now dedicated exclusively to Package B. Therefore everything in that video applies to Package B, unless there are disclaimers to the contrary. Is it me? If Tesla had not gone to the trouble of...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Only if you can also outline a disclaimer stating that all of the features demonstrated in the video are not included in the Autopilot package (the section in which the video is displayed). If it's in the Autopilot section, then it applies to Autopilot, unless there are disclaimers to the...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Why do folks keep claiming that? Tesla has already updated that section of the support page to reflect the change from the old EAP offering to the new AP offering. All of the text and video currently in that section reflects their current offering.

    Autopilot bug with lane change

I don't know about maintenance, but I can see a safety issue. Once last week I was forced to disengage AP to change lanes. After changing lanes, I immediately attempted to reengage AP, but got a message that it wasn't available. I tried again, but got the same message. I kept trying to...
  33. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

OK, fair enough. TACC does behave the way you describe it above. I'm still not sure I would describe that behavior as accelerating for another vehicle (or pedestrian for that matter). But let's just agree for the sake of argument. That leads us to the big question; what part of the...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Thanks. I requested that the issue be elevated. They said a supervisor will contact me today or tomorrow. If they don't, I'll contact them again on Wednesday. I'd be happy with either a refund or ALC. No harm, no foul. FSD is now $7k for me. At present, that's a non-starter. If I'm stuck...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Snarkiness aside, you've not only marked up the sentence, you've altered it. But as long as we're playing: "Enables your car to (steer), (accelerate) and (brake automatically for other vehicles and pedestrians within its lane)." I have never, ever seen it accelerate for other vehicle in its...
  36. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Although I might take issue with your examples, that is one possible interpretation. However, I think it's also possible to interpret it as saying that automatic braking is triggered by other cars and people in your lane, not by things outside of your lane. The point is that if Tesla had...
  37. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

The description you provided was for Autopilot, not Autosteer. Autopilot, to the best of by knowledge, never accelerates for other vehicles and pedestrians, regardless where they are. Similarly, I've never experienced it to steer based on the presence of other vehicles or pedestrians, only...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

I already asked them for a refund. They said no. I alternatively asked to get the Autopilot functions that they demonstrate on their website. They said no.
  39. C

    Autopilot bug with lane change

It can brake automatically for other vehicles and pedestrians within its lane. Can it steer automatically for other vehicles and pedestrians within its lane? I sincerely hope it doesn't accelerate automatically for other vehicles and pedestrians within its lane. Clear as mud.

    Autopilot bug with lane change

I had a chat session with Tesla Saturday. I pointed out that the verbiage at point-of-sale did not state that ALC was now part of FSD. The support assistant claimed it was "clearly announced" that ALC was now part of FSD, not AP. I referred her to that video, to which she replied that the...

Can owners that purchased $2K AP confirm if Auto Lane Change is included please?

I think we're starting to find some common ground But that, in and of itself, isn't a problem. The web is full of ads for discontinued items. The problems only arise when they alter a product and leave in (or fail to weed out) legacy features. That causes consumer confusion and sews...
  43. C

Can owners that purchased $2K AP confirm if Auto Lane Change is included please?

Objectively, they are. I don't understand how anyone can argue otherwise. They updated the Autopilot section of their support page, and kept the the video that demonstrated the old EAP functions that relate to Autopilot (not NoA, Summon, nor Autopark) I acknowledge that it says ENHANCED...
  44. C

Can owners that purchased $2K AP confirm if Auto Lane Change is included please?

How is it clear? I don't think it's clear at all. Tesla is currently using that video in their support page to demonstrate the features of their newly branded "Autopilot" package There is no disclaimer that not all features are included in the "base" Autopilot package. If the video included...

Can owners that purchased $2K AP confirm if Auto Lane Change is included please?

Because before I clicked on the shop for Autopilot Upgrades from my account screen (below), I clicked on the Autopilot Overview button, which took me to the autopilot section of the support page on tesla.com. (Model 3 Support | Tesla). It includes a video demonstration of how to engage various...
  46. C

Can owners that purchased $2K AP confirm if Auto Lane Change is included please?

That's the same verbiage from the order screen that I showed above. ALC isn't listed in either package. I don't think you can argue that because FSD includes features that require ALC, then ALC must be an exclusive feature of FSD. FSD includes features that require all AP functions...
  47. C

Can owners that purchased $2K AP confirm if Auto Lane Change is included please?

Where on tesla.com are you seeing this? As I mentioned in my post yesterday, the Autopilot video tutorial explicitly states to the use turn signals to engage ALC, and demonstrates how it works.. The purchase screen doesn't list ALC in either AP or FSD. I, for one, was expecting ALC as part...
