Would the 0-60 time on a 70D improve significantly? The range and supercharger upgrade is very tempting…currently get ~220 miles and peak supercharging at ~95kW for about 5 seconds, then falls quickly.

Just transitioned my son to a high back booster, and ran into a fitment issue. Ordered a Chicco KidFit not thinking there would be any issues. Turns out the fixed headrest in the rear seats of the Model S keep most every seat from sitting flush against the back rest, pushes the seat out 2-3”...

Only way to do it with OEM parts is to have someone hack/root your cars software, which I wasn’t willing to do while still under warranty.

This was the first thing I tried. Mobile tech was denied access to the “flag” for lift gate, he elevated the issue and was told no by engineering.

I believe the short answer is yes. However, I’ve had at least 2 firmware updates since installing the module, and the car did not automatically add that feature. Pretty sure you need to change the power lift gate variable from false to true, then do a redeploy.

Confirmed today that adding the pinch sensors does not help. Unless you hack the car and change the power lift gate option from false/off to true/on, you cannot add power lift gate using OEM parts. :(

I've done some searching on the forum, but couldn't find anything custom made for a model S that doesn't have a center console. Does anyone know if a wireless QI charging solution for an older Model S?

No, haven’t tried yet. I had already removed the power strut, and it’s a pain to fish the wire back into the car and plug in. Just need to set aside some time to do it soon.

I really think it doesn’t physically fit there...the cables are hitting against the metal panel above them, bending them pretty severely. Jacket of the display cable is already starting to come out of the connector, don’t really want to push my luck trying to make it fit where there isn’t room...

Hmmm...that’s a good idea, I’ll have to give that a shot. Tesla has officially said no to updating my config, so if that doesn’t work, it’s looking like I’ll have to stick with the manual lift gate :(

Figured it out. Apparently setting dome lights to “on” leaves only the trunk lights on (dome lights in car are not on) when you lock the car. Seems odd, but that’s the way it works for whatever reason.

It’s been hours

Took out my parcel shelf, and just noticed my trunk lights are staying on after the car is locked. Does anyone know what triggers them to turn off when the lift gate is closed?

So next question, the cable coming from the display is very short on my car, it disappears into a cable bundle. It’s not long enough to locate the switch in the location you are referencing. Are others cutting the cable bundle to pull out this cable to get more length? Doesn’t seem like an...

Moving the wire temporarily from SW1 to SW2 seems to have helped, ot now switched to the rear cam when I put the car in reverse, and back to front cam when in drive/park, but still no luck switching when pressing/holding the steering wheel button. Thoughts?

Just used trial and error, and it’s the top/“fattest” cable. It’s showing the rear cam fine, but I can’t get it to switch. Don’t have he battery for remotes yet, but I thought using the CAN kit I could switch using left scroll wheel?
