    Updating navigation data?

My 2018 Model 3 MR (No FSD) is still using navigation data from last summer (202228). Is there any way to prompt it to update the maps other than parking near a wifi access point?

Android 13 phone key works for me

After a month of my intentionally delaying updating my Pixel 6a to Android 13 due to the reports on this forum that 13 messes up use of the phone key, my phone updated itself when my finger slipped. However, there seems to have been no effect on my ability to use my phone as a key, either on my...

Android 13 update phone key not working

It would be great to know if this fix works for more people. I am going to need a new phone soon and it is likely to come with Android 13.

    Battery estimate high fluctuation

Thanks for your replies. Since superchargers are few and far between in MT yes it was Bozeman we had plugged into the navigator and it calculated Helena supercharger as an intermediate stop. I could have charged longer to 100% in St Mary but since the car forecast arrival in Helena with 30%+ I...

    Battery estimate high fluctuation

We charged up to 90% when we left st Mary mt for Bozeman. In car navigation showed we should arrive at Helena supercharger with over 30% remaining. We drove at 55 mph on a 70 mph highway. Temps were mid 40s and it was raining but not a monsoon. Over the first hour we watched in increasing...

    Google calendar not fully synching

Thanks for the clarification. I am on Tesla software v 11 (2022.8.3) and there does not appear to be any way to access a menu on the calendar screen. The menu expander in the top right of your screen does not exist on mine. However, I did as you suggested and disconnected both phones from the...

    Google calendar not fully synching

Thanks but both calendars are already selected on the Google calendar app. Else they would not show up on the phone. What I want is the car to display the same thing the phones do (which is both calendars, one from each phone.).

    Google calendar not fully synching

Thank you. Yes, Google calendar is native for Android phones like we have. Both calendars appear on each phone, so we already synching them phone to phone. it is the car that is the problem. I forgot to mention I have rebooted both phones, both cars, no change.

    Google calendar not fully synching

My wife and I both use Google calendar on Pixel (android) phones. We have the Google calendar app set up to show both our own and each others' calendars on our phone calendar screen (in different colors but on the same screen). However only my Google calendar shows up on our Model 3 and Model...

Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier NP trip from the East

We are planning a summer trip in our MYLR to Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier national parks, in that order. We are approaching and leaving the parks from the East. I figured we could start at the Jackson Supercharger, then enter Grand Teton NP from there, charge at West Yellowstone...

Wondering what those who using ABRP actually use as a process.

I use ABRP for multi-stop and overnight trips. ABRP will make sure you have enough juice to leave your first stop and get to your next stop, which the built-in NAV will not do.

    Radio erratically displaying song/artist

My Y does not display RDS data (song/artist name), while my 3 does, at least in normal FM mode. We are in a strong reception area. Neither one displays song/artist data when in HD mode.

Drive-ins in the Tesla will be great ... ?

We went to a drive-in last week in our Model 3, which was generally fun. First of all, camp mode works fine to keep the audio on and the A/C running during the movie. You might need a jacket or something to put over the screen in case it stays on in a dim way. Make sure you park in a space...

Navigation: Tesla needs to teach it to understand reversible express lanes on I-95 in Northern Virginia

On I-95 in Northern Virginia there are three sets of lanes: one heading north, one heading south, and the middle set of express lanes that go north (towards Washington DC) in the morning and south in the afternoon when people are commuting in those directions. Navigation in my Model 3 does not...

Hitch required for decent bike rack?

We are getting ready to order a model Y. If we want to be able to transport two bikes occasionally (ca 100 lbs), do we need to order the hitch, or is there a decent bike rack that fits the model Y without a hitch? Thanks.

Easiest way to tell a Y from a 3 if they are not next to each other?

If a Y and a 3 are next to each other it is easy to spot the differences. But how do I easily distinguish a Y from a 3 when the car is not next to another Tesla? We have a 3.

Left Rear Door will not open

Solved by Mobile Tesla guy, who said he had never seen this problem before. The inside door panel had somehow scooted back a fraction of an inch so it was caught by the gasket on the door frame. Mobile guy adjusted the door panel in just a few minutes, and all is again well.

Left Rear Door will not open

The left rear door will not open, although the handle moves and the window goes down when I move it. The door feels like it's stuck at the bottom; it moves slightly. Has anyone seen this before and have an easy solution, or do we need to make a service call?

Android connects, music title displays but does not play

Okay, I spoke too soon. Tried again with the Android phone later in the day, same symptoms as before. The phone is connected via bluetooth, when I set an app to play music on the phone, the track title appears on the Tesla display, the play/pause buttons change, but no music comes out. So it...

Android connects, music title displays but does not play

My moto X4 phone connects via Bluetooth to my car fine. I can receive calls via the phone & car successfully. When I select "phone" on the car's audio menu, and then play something from the phone via Google Play or another app, the Tesla displays the name of the track, and the play/pause...
