agreed, was to nerve racking, going to go with the heavier stronger Niche wheels, at 36lbs a pop I think it wont give me what I was looking for, but the piece of mind is worth it. Ill post what I see with the heavy wheels

This is amazing, so I’m looking at some American Racing 20’s x 9, will put 255/40’s on the load rating per wheel Is only 1400, we will not tow and at max have a couple kids in the back seat. Per my calculations they will work, what do you think?

What was the load rating on the wheels? I’m looking at doing the same, but load rating on the wheels I want is only 1400 per wheel

What about wheel load rating? I’m trying to get some new wheels for the Model Y and I’m being told the load index on the wheel is only 1280, I don’t plan on towing or weighing the vehicle down, thoughts?

I ended up getting the straight power cord for the lighter plug, pulled the side panel off the center console and ran the wire that way, worked out well. Here is where the wire comes up to run behind the screen

This really makes me want to create a pass through from the center console out to the sides to run LED’s on the inside of the bottom of the seats, I have kids in the back so anything sticking out those back usb’s Worry me

Ok got the light in, fits great, finish is clean, it would be perfect if it didn’t light up the ENTIRE car! It’s so damn bright, lol, ordered an in-line usb dimmer Onite 2pcs LED Strip Dimmer Switch Cord, Female to Male Extension USB Cord for TV BackLight...

I don’t think this will work as well as you might want, since you can only use 7” or so of the strip of mounting to the lid you may not get many LED’s I test for a similar strip and it didn’t give much light, just something to consider

Has anyone done some additional lights under the display? Can’t stand how dark the spot to put the phones are. I’m thinking a little USB powered LED strip light under there maybe? I really want to tear the whole center console up and make pass throughs or even relocat the cigarette lighter spot

Got the one from Etsy, seems to be a 3D printed one that doesn’t fit great, had to force a lot and sounded like something broke when I got it into place, it works but wished I had gone with Skyline’s

Quick update, I did the same as this thread, my detector (escort 360) not getting enough power from the front usb to cigarette lighter adapter, but using a power pack does work, but my power pack doesn’t seem to be strong enough to power for more than one trip, will look into better power packs...

Update, I used a power pack to power the radar detector and the cars USB to charge the power pack, it’s a little finicky but seems to work, will order the mount and updated how well it works

So weird, I just received that adapter and it doesn’t seem to power my radar detector

I just ordered that as well, I tried the micro usb to lightning adapter but was too tall and couldn’t get a phone on it
